Delizia Bakery — Restaurant in Brampton

This bakery is EASILY my most favourite part of living in Brampton. Dora and Mike are the kindest people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. This hidden gem in Brampton is one of a kind. I constantly crave Mike's cakes, and baked goods. Dora is the sweetest, kindest, most generous woman I've ever met. Every time my family and I have gone in, we've been greeted with such love! Dora makes the best cappuccinos, and really knows the history behind all of the pastries (like the story behind Zeppole) and other items in her store. I have really enjoyed getting to know Dora and Mike. They treat my family like their own family. Their hospitality is unmatched. It's been such a pleasure getting to know everyone at Delizia one-on-one.

You can clearly see the love even from their regular patrons that come for lunch everyday, and all the other customers coming in to pick up Italian groceries. It's debit and cash only, but it's completely worth it. The prices are beyond reasonable and honestly we TRULY come for the people behind Delizia.

I'm sorry in advance to the readers of this review, but I am going to delve into detail of the quality of the food we tried! (:P) The pepperoni pizza was the perfect balance of cheesy, greasy goodness. Ultimate comfort food. And the chicken parm sandwich with the hot sauce had the PERFECT spice, we were actually surprised how spicy it was and loved it! All the desserts tasted fresh and lovely as always! The cannoli was perfectly crispy on the outside, and the filling was really creamy and tasty (it was my first time trying a cannoli), and we can't wait to have the cake tonight!

There comes a time where you meet people who remind you what love and family is really about. That’s exactly what you’ll find here in Delizia bakery (pronounced: DeliTzia - which means delicious 🤤). If I could rate this place 10 stars I would! They’ve been open for over 16 years now and I can’t believe this was my first time stumbling in!

The moment you walk into the door of this beautiful bakery you’re greeted with the smell of fresh bread and pastries. They also have a quaint selection of meats, cheeses, pizzas, pastas, and other fresh Italian produce.

I think the greatest part of all, was meeting Dora and Mike. It started with a simple phone call because we were searching for a cake for my sister’s birthday. Dora told us to come in and they would see what they could do for us. They treated us like family, the hospitality was simply outstanding. I can’t thank them enough for what they did for our family today, it’s the little things that make the biggest difference. And they really went above and beyond to accommodate us.

We also had an opportunity to try their delicious cappuccinos made fresh, and also got to try some of their pastries and cookies: the cannoli, the pistachio cookie, and the fresh fruit custard puff (see photos). My family and I have been customers of Delizia Bakery since they became the owners many years ago...and needless to say, this is the place of choice we all go to purchase their fabulous bread, buns, baking goods, deli meats, cheeses, and of course their simply amazing home cooked lasagnas - not to mention their personal hot table menu of, again, home cooked food. Their tomato sauce is the mainstay of our pastas here at home, and my husband is Italian!! The family at Delizia are exactly that with their customers - family. Their made to order cakes, cookies, and home cooked meals are beyond expectations and I can speak from much experience with them over the years. So many of my friends and family have added this delightful bakery to their list of most favourite 'go to places' here in Brampton after their first experience.
