Firehouse Subs — Restaurant in Brampton

I used to really like coming to this location, but recently my experience has been pretty garbage. I’ve only been there twice lately, when I used to go more often, because now they always try to rush me or talk over me, even if I’m the only person in line.

Last time I was in, I wanted to do the “build your own” sandwich, and as I was trying to say what I wanted on it, the worker kept interrupting me to ask “is that it?” after literally every topping. I only removed two things, so it’s not like I was putting an absurd amount of items on the sandwich.

They also seem to act like it’s an inconvenience to answer any questions about the food. For example, we have dietary restrictions and often need to double check if certain ingredients are included in sandwich options. It’s not always something you can find online ahead of time, so I think it’s fair to ask the people actually making the food. They should know what goes in the sandwich.

On top of that, when the person I was with changed their mind about which sandwich to get (while still ordering), the staff seemed visibly annoyed and said they had already started making the original one. I understand it might be frustrating in some cases, but we hadn’t even finished ordering or paid yet.

I really like this sub shop and will definitely go back. Both of the times I've been here, the restaurant was gorgeous and clean, the service was good, the food was made quickly, and the sub quality was always great! All of the sub types I have gotten have been great, and so far I have tried about 4 different types of their specialty subs.

I usually like to get two different subs for me and my father on days he is working, so that we each have half of both sub types. They always cut the subs in half and put them in fairly durable containers, so they are easy to transport and share. If you do not have as much of an appetite, or want to share with 4 different people, you could probably ask for them to cut the subs into quarters. They also give you an option of including a pickle on the side of each sub.

It's also a very conveniently located. This plaza has a lot to offer. This restaurant accept orders over Skipthedishes or Uber Eats, so you can easily do something like order while getting groceries at the Freshco in the plaza, and have your subs ready for pick up by the time you are done grocery shopping.

My only complaint would be that it can be a bit pricey, but I find eating out nowadays is always pricey. Also, this restaurant donates lots of money to aide in rescue services, so I'll happily pay a more expensive price to a company that supports...

First time trying Firehouse subs today. Heard alot about it's startup, mission and the good deeds in the community. Went in around 3:30pm, and there were couple guests ahead of me however the process did not slow done. I was really impressed by the cleanliness of this location when I went today. All safety protocols seemed to be in place. The lady at the cash was exceptional and we had a heart felt conversation after my order. We got 3 of vegetarian sub with hot sauce on the side. Loved the packaging and how neat it was. The subs tasted great, weren't soggy at all (10 minute drive home) and very flavourful. We got the 8 inch but should have got the 12 inch.
