Italian Garden Restaurant — Restaurant in Brampton

I was undecided as to what to grab for lunch. It was either Chungs Caribbean Cuisine or Italian Garden. I decided to try Italian Garden because the cuisine is healthier. Yes, I must pay attention to those " pandemic" pounds creeping up on me.

Once again, this a local mom & pop restaurant business. I like to support the hard working people at these businesses.

The service was extremely friendly, efficient and helpful. This was my first visit. Plenty of parking in the mall. Strict COVID measures are in place. I arrived just past 11:00AM.

I chose to go with a large penne pasta with Rose sauce and one arancini (Beef) rice ball and my total came out to $20.50 after taxes. The food was packaged very well.

The pasta was overcooked, I do prefer al dente for the texture. But the Rose sauce was quite lovely and not too acidic.They added parmesan cheese and fresh basil on top which was quite nice and refreshing.

I would prefer perhaps less sauce in my order because the container was about 35-40% sauce. I would have liked to have a bit more pasta for a large order considering that the price paid was north of $10.00. But it is not a big deal for me because I did enjoy the pasta.

The arancini was okay. It was not bad really. I decided to have sauce with it, so I knew that I have sacrificed that crunch for a bit of sauce. The rice and the beef mixture were well cooked and it was seasoned.

I may return to try their sandwiches if I am in the area again. Only...

I have lived in the area for over 10 years and will honestly say I din't know this place was here. That being said, it pooped up one day on my Skip app and I gave it a try,

The price is a bit steep, but with overwhelming food prices and recovery mode from pandemic, not outrageous. I am a small business owner too so I appreciate how difficult things have been.

Needless to say I have ordered multiple times now. The veal sandwich is my personal order. The toppings are great, and when they say "hot" peppers, they mean it! very spicy!

The loving notes written on the bag thanking me for ordering and supporting them makes me feel amazing! They truly appreciate my business. The smiley faces on the wrapper made me giggle when I opened it lol. Personality is so hard t find in business. This fun place to order from.

Food 5Stars, experience even through skip, 5 stars. One thing to keep in mind, this is traditional Italian food, done the way it was in Italy, not East side marios or other chain pasta dishes. I think thats important to mention as most reviews I read with lower stars were people expecting something that isnt really "Italian."

Right off the hop I was greeted with a smile and a hello, good start. I went for the lunch special, I chose the chicken sandwich and I added cheese and mushrooms and a side of Alfredo. With a coke it came to $18 and change. The sandwich was large and the pasta was a perfect size for a side. Excellent value for the money. I try many hot table spots and I have to say the variety of choices was refreshing to see. Often it can be basic tomato sauce on penne, but here there were no less than 5 pastas to choose from. Finally I want to give a shout out to the young lady that served me (I wish I caught her name so she can get full credit). I was unsure of which sauce to go with for my sandwich, so she made a suggestion that I could have a mixture of the two which ended up making the sandwich! It was delicious and made with care. It was clear to me she cared about the job and especially the food. Bravo! Great work to everyone there, no wonder it's been around for 25+ years. I highly recommend.
