Pizza Nova — Restaurant in Brampton

Pizza is great but I question the ethics of this location.

Combo #1: The store offers a lunch combo which includes a slice of Hawaiian pizza, pop and dip for $5.79 + HST = $6.54 total.

Combo #2: The store offers a second lunch combo which includes a deluxe slice, pop and dip for $6.39 + HST = $7.22 total.

I wouldn't generally leave a review to complain about $0.68, but today for the second time at this store they've tried to charge me the deluxe combo pricing when I ordered a combo #1. The guy working kept pushing back when I told him it shouldn't be $7.22 as the combo advertised on the board was $6.54. He said that it was "taxes and extra". I questioned what the "extra" was... After some back and forth I eventually got out my phone calculator to show him the math that $5.79 * 1.13 = $6.54. He then eventually acknowledged that he had rung it in as a deluxe slice in error.

It's not a lot of $ - but since this has happened twice I feel the need to write a review to warn customers - this store seems to be trying to scoop extra $ on each transaction so check...

I ordered a party cheese late night on Sunday approx 11:15-ish. For pick up, I usually have it delivered, but I was heading out.

I came in and was greeted right away. A younger male (with a slight accent) came to help me, I told him I was picking up. He explained that the pizza was not ready, and I was early. (I knew this) I sat down to wait.

When I called ahead to order, I requested the pizza "be cooked longer, but not well done". While I was waiting he asked me 2 times to look at the pizza in the oven to see if it was cooked enough for me. Which he didn't need to do. 👏 I appreciated that. He was very friendly and provided excellent customer service. I wouldn't normally tip on a take out order, I didn't feel pressured to tip, but I wanted to because he treated me like he valued me as a customer. I do hope he gets the tip, he was the only one in the pizza store at this time (3 male employees left when i was just sitting down.)

Really good food and even better service! 👌 AMAZING gluten free crust, i'de say best one I've tried at a pizza place so far, and it comes in a medium which is what I've always wanted instead of the smalls gluten free crusts usually come in, good cheese to sauce ratio, cooked well and not burnt! It was also a really fair price! But the best thing i'de have to say was the service, I could just tell the people were friendly, kind and super welcoming, they all said goodbye as I walked out the door and honestly that is the kind of quality service I love to experience, it put a smile on my face and made my day, so thankyou to the great people who work there you did a great job! 5/5 :) also here is a picture of my leftovers in the fridge (Because I started devouring my pizza before remembering to snap a...
