I order from here a couple times, food is usually good, no issues there but the customer service is the worst. I ordered 2 steam fish dinners on SkipTheDishes, one with pumpkin rice. I guess the restaurant didnāt have pumpkin rice which would of been fine because I would of ordered white rice. IF THEY HAD CALLED. Usually when a restaurant doesnāt have your item, they call to see you if you want to change the item or cancel. I received no call but instead received rice and peas which I am allergic to beans so I couldnāt eat the order at all not even the fish because of it touching. I called the restaurant to explain, the girl on the phone goes ā__ come get the phone, donāt make me tell this girl about herself.ā The person she was speaking to laughed and took the phone from her and spoke to me about what happened. Yes her service was better but in no way should she of laughed especially well the customer is still on the phone. The girl who picked up the phone had no right to be ignorant because I never did anything wrong but try and have my order corrected through the restaurant before reaching out to skip the dish. I am so upset with the behaviour in customer service when I did absolutely nothing wrong but call regarding a mistake being done in my order. If they never had the item, they should of clarified it with me before assuming what I wanted. Now I have no dinner because I couldnāt eat the food I waited an hour for. Yes I was told I could message skip the dish but I just moved into a new house in a new area which has no phone service and I do not have internet as I just moved here. I would of had to stand outside to use the internet in the cold and received data which is unfair to a customer who spent there money and was given what they felt like giving. Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy order was wrong when I visited this restaurant, despite me taking the time to repeat and clarify my order over the phone beforehand. Upon arrival I noticed the order was wrong and asked for it to be corrected. The person serving me was visibly annoyed that I dared to ask for my order, which I paid and patiently waited for, to be corrected. The cashier charged me the wrong price for the item I ordered. And continued to dispute with me about the price, until I pointed out the price on their own menu. Weird.
To be sure I was not being overly critical, the following week I gave the restaurant a chance to redeem themselves. I ordered again, and received almost the exact same service (my order was wrong despite me repeating it to the person who answered the phone, I received attitude because I asked for the order to be corrected, and once again I was over charged for the item and had to debate with the cashier that she charged me the wrong amount).
Keying error? Twice, in two separate weeks? Its clear some training is badly needed here, as well as a course on customer service. The bad attitude is unnecessary and leaves the customer with an unpleasant experience.
I am sure no one will take accountability and will conveniently not recall any of these events, or my review will be deemed as 'Fake' which appears to be the response to most of the negative reviews below.
Update* The response to my Google review is that I called and did not provide proof of payment??? I'm not sure what unfortunate customer that was, but I didn't call anyone about this issue. Or was this an attempt to provide a fake resolution for Google? SMH.
Needless to say, there will not be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpdate August 1 2022: Went in today and ordered LG BBQ fry chicken with Rice and peas, a small curry goat with white rice and coleslaw and a fry dumplin. The curry goat was good and the white rice was okay. The BBQ fried chicken was disappointing. The chicken while bland was smothered in the BBQ sauce. The rice and peas was awful, it was way too soft, clumpy and unevenly cooked. I did not get the coleslaw I paid for, which was surprising as it was not mentioned there'd be a charge for it. The cashier was friendly and engaging but the food here is too inconsistent. This is my 3rd order here and so far only one order was good.
Update : Used skip the dishes to place a 7pm order and I was quite disappointed in the difference of the quality of food I received. The fry chicken was dry, the bbq chicken was hard and seemed like it has been left out since lunch, the jerk pork left much to be desired as there was a lot of oil, fat and skin. It was also quite unusual to have fresh, raw onions and carrots cut up on top of the jerk pork.
Down from 5 to 2 stars....
The food was fresh and delicious. The lady at the cash was pleasant, she might have been one of the owners, she also made inviting conversations while I waited on my order. I ordered a large BBq-Fry and a small curry goat, the portions were appropriate and fair. The restaurant is clean and I would definitely recommend...
