Disappointing Catering Experience with Rajdhani Sweets – Avoid for Large Events!

We recently ordered catering from Rajdhani Sweets for 25 people and a day later updated our booking to 30 guests, paying extra for the additional five after we had received final RSVP. Despite confirming the change well in advance and paying for extra 5 people and additional delivery charge. the restaurant failed miserably. I guess being honest costs in this world. If we had not update the guest count and paid for additional 5 guests, we may not have felt this bad about the experience but being honest with them, costed us with both humiliation and disappointment.

On the day of the event, the food provided was barely enough for 20 people, less than our original order of 25! This left us scrambling to arrange last-minute food, causing immense embarrassment as hosts.

When we followed up, the staff showed zero accountability. The person who answered claimed ignorance, saying she was "just a worker" and couldn’t help. Even worse, their excuse was absurd—they measure catering orders by “restaurant-style thali portions” (single ladle per person), completely ignoring that buffet catering requires larger quantities since guests serve themselves freely.

If a catering business doesn’t understand this basic concept, they have no right to handle large orders. Their incompetence ruined our event, and their dismissive attitude made it worse.

My Advice - Do NOT trust them for catering. They may manage dine-in service, but they are clueless about event catering. Save yourself the humiliation and order from a professional caterer instead. Zero stars...

Rajdhani is a restaurant that I will surely revisit!

I honestly would have given this place 5 stars if it wasn’t for the extremely slow service. After we entered the restaurant, at around 6:30 pm, we waited 10-15 mins to be seated, which is a very long time. What I really didn’t like was that when we were taken to our table, it was still being cleaned and we had to watch our table getting cleaned. After we were seated, it took 20 MINUTES for them just to TAKE our order! It was ridiculous! I honestly was originally thinking of giving 2 stars, but here is why I decided not to…

The food, first of all, is so delicious and PURE vegetarian! We ordered Roti & Daal Makhani, Naan & Shahi Paneer, and Chole Bhature. It was all served much quicker, and so warm! The food was so scrumptious, I forgot to take photos, and we ate it all so quickly!

The service, though very slow, is actually really nice! They personally apologized for the long wait and explained that it was because they are a new restaurant, and all the staff are new and unexperienced. Also, the restaurant was very crowded that day. The ambience is lovely, and lively! The cutlery, utensils, tables, chairs, and bathrooms are overall pretty clean and neat, which is surprising for such a crowded restaurant but it just proves that they are efficient. The restaurant could be more spacious, because it was so crowded, and there all tables were close together.
