This was my 3rd time having Uber eats from KC Boil, Unfortunately this time it was a disappointment as we ordered 2 1Lb Mixed boils and decided to opt for the clams on one of them, Now the food did arrived but the clams were nothing but just the shell with maybe 2-3 of them actually having meat but that wasn't even the main issue that the clams were 98% just the shell but instead the fact the clams smelled and tasted like CHEMICALS and SAND ‼️‼️.
Now I'm sure the kitchen staff has to wash and clean the food to remove dirt and whatnot but I'm not sure that happened this time as it sounds more like they just drenched chemicals on the clams and called it a day.
Another issue now is the Portion sizes and price increase as when I first ordered from here on Uber it was $19.99 for the 1LB mix and it came in a big container as seen in the second image (March 19) 2025, Now the price has increased to $23.99 and the portions got smaller and seems like it depends on the person who's doing your order? As tonight we received both the small container and the big container with the orders difference being the following Small container had Clams, Corn and Potatoes while the big container had mussels, Sausage(Extra charge), Broccoli and Corn.
Now mind you id understand the bigger container as one of them had more but both my 2 previous Uber orders had the big container and they didn't even include as many sides, I'm honestly disappointed with this as when I sat inside for dinner 2 ish weeks ago none of these issues were present but it seems like I'm not the only one disappointed with their quality now.
I hope the owners and staff can fix these issues especially the chemical and sand taste as that's beyond dangerous, They also need to work out quality control and to decide on what price and portion sizes they want to use as clearly I'm not the only one experiencing that issue either.
This place has the chance to be as good as or if not better than the competitors but if they let the hype and greed get to themselves might as well just close the doors now. With these issues unfortunately I don't think I'll be making a return anytime soon in person or for...
Read moreAn underwhelming experience..... my wife and I wanted to try this place as the prices seemed to be pretty good for what you get. Little to our surprise it's more quantity than quality.
We went with combo J (1 lbs each of lobster, king crab and snow crab) in the house sauce (combo of 3 sauces = garlic butter, lemon pepper and cajun) plus Cajun fries, lobster fried rice and 2 piece corn & 2 piece potatoes).
We also ordered a dozen oysters and they were sub-par at best (east coast) and one of them was actually sub-standard where it was like half a piece in the shell .... from a quality control perspective it never should have went out but it is what it is.
Once it arrived at our table the presentation was really nice but that's about the real positive about the meal. The sauce wasn't that savory and the seafood was bland.... I am still baffled how that happens if it's all boiled together. The rice was just okay IMO but the corn was good.... I'm surprised they only give you scissors and no shellfish crackers, had a challenging time opening it up.
The worst part, we weren't even completely full! Also our original server never even brought us our 2 cokes from the initial order. The ONLY saving grace this is getting a 2 star review is for the other server from another section (thank you Jash, you were lovely.... I don't remember the name of the woman we had but she was not entirely attentive) who made a good effort.
Please ensure the tip that we left goes to her, she deserved it. Overall, do yourself a big favor and just go to The Captains Boil, it will be slightly more expensive but it WILL BE a better meal...
Read moreI visited this restaurant with my one-year-old and ordered Combo C. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. After placing my order, all of the food was brought out at once, but it took over 30 minutes, and by then, everything was cold.
When I asked the manager to reheat my rice, it was returned hard and unappetizing. The sauce was also cold and clumpy. When I voiced my concerns, the manager told me this was “normal” and suggested I take the food home to reheat it myself. No offer was made to replace the food, provide a discount, or otherwise address the situation.
Throughout my visit, no one checked in to offer water, refills, or ask if I needed anything. I was extremely thirsty and felt completely neglected as a customer.
It’s clear that this restaurant does not prioritize customer service or satisfaction. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this restaurant and give it a rating of zero stars if I could.very disappointed I do not recommend wasting your money here I will also be doing a tick tock video. Thank you for your response.
I would like to clarify that I was not requesting my food to be reheated. Rather, I was seeking either a freshly prepared replacement or a partial refund, given the quality and condition of the meal when it was served.
While I appreciate the effort to reheat part of my dish, particularly the seafood items, unfortunately, this process compromised the texture, taste, and overall flavor, which further impacted my dining experience.
I hope you will take this feedback seriously to help improve future customer...
