I recently visited this restaurant after almost 2-3 months and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. When I took my take out to home, the person preparing the food poured oodles of hummus on top of my order. I immediately brought this to the attention of the staff by calling them, expecting a quick and courteous resolution. Instead, I was told that I should have checked the order myself before leaving.
This response was both surprising and unprofessional. It's reasonable to expect that a restaurant will take responsibility for ensuring orders are correct, rather than shifting the blame to the customer. Mistakes happen, and I understand that, but how they are handled speaks volumes about a business's customer service. The replacement they prepared had such small portion size, probably half of what I used to get couple of months back.
The rest of the meal was overshadowed by this poor experience. I had to drive back as they cannot do delivery, rather than enjoying my meal, I had to drive all the way back to the restaurant for replacement. It’s a shame because I had heard good things about them, but this incident has left a bad taste in my mouth. I hope they reconsider their approach to customer service...
Read moreThis is my first time trying this restaurant and something is not right. I purchased a large chicken shawarma where I had to advise which veggies to include and spice level in which I stated. I see that they use two regular wraps to make a large, I had to quickly go to my car and get something and I came back to see my wrap on the grill. I took my order home to eat. My first bite into the wrap and it was completely DRY, took two more bites and still DRY. I open the wrap to see that there was barely any sauce. The amount does not justify to be present in a large wrap, maybe for a regular size. So disappointed. I should had stayed and continue watching the wrap being made and requested more sauce in which I would gladly pay extra as who wants to eat a dry wrap?? How can this be rated the best shawarma place year after year? I believe this franchise is very cheap and cutting corners to save. Ill let them keep the $12.45 and will absolutely never return. There’s are so many betters...
Read moreThese people don't know how to make proper Shawarma. They don't gradually cut off the cooked meat from the skewer. Instead they cut it ALL off and cook it separately on a stove. That's not at all how Shawarma meat is supposed to be cooked. It becomes over-fried.
On top of that, they overcharge like crazy for basic things like ranch sauce, the staff is never smiling or happy to serve. They are mostly in a bad mood or just ignorant to customer service. Very disrespectful behaviour for a customer-service retail setting.
The chicken is NEVER fresh and they made me wait 30 minutes to get my food. How does that make any sense?
I have concerns about their sanitary practices as well.
Hire people who know about this type of food instead of Indians who never dealt with Shawarma or Halal meat before.
Why are they playing Punjabi music instead of Arab music? Lazeez used to represent the Arab culture but instead hires people who refuse...
