AVOID IF YOU HAVE FOOD ALLERGIES! I had been to this restaurant before and had a good and a negative experience but thought let's try again. Definitely should have rethought this. I ordered $60 worth of food and asked that no mushroom be put in to the food. I drove out in to the cold 15 min each way, to pick up the food, with gas prices at 123 and hoped for the best. Of course when I got home there was mushroom in my food. I promptly called back to the restaurant and advised them of this. I was asked TO DRIVE BACK to show them the food. They told me they had 2 people check the food for accuracy and quality, Clearly missing the large black Chinese mushrooms in my food. I advised the woman I spoke with that I had an allergy and could not eat the noodle. She told me to bring it back at my leisure and that she would give me a FREE one. What is free about food you have to drive twice to get because they made it wrong with NO care for a customer's order? I told her that she was not offering me something free but rather inconveniencing me to collect food a second time that they made wrong. She HUNG up on me. This is how this restaurant treats a well paying customer who troubles themselves to provide a clear order and request. AVOID AT ALL COSTS, especially if one has a food allergy, because clearly THEY DON'T CARE!!! Please see the attached photo of the noodles with LARGE BLACK MUSHROOMS the owner assured me they used QUALITY control to ensure was not...
Read moreReally fast on delivery. That's one star and that's the only thing good about this place. I'm sure the people are nice and hard working but this does not mean it's good food. I don't know if it's a franchise or independent but this place is a poor example of Chinese Food. I've lived in 3 major cities across Canada that all had a China Town and even the worst restaurant had better food than this place. I love this cultures food so much I've always made it a habit to try the independent restaurants of their towns. They tend to be traditional and strict about their ingredients. But this place misses the mark by a long shot. The taste was very off as if they substituted spices. So, not original flavor. Very greasy, oily food leaving you a heavy feeling. Then there's the price, unrealistic. A la cart should not be 50 bucks for 3 small portions. There is no excuse for such low quality, overpriced Chinese food. You're better of buying the garbage from Ocean's hot table. It's the same quality which is low, but a 3rd the price. Sorry folks. Maybe the owners should visit Toronto's Chinatown and try the food to get an idea about what...
Read moreJust ordered for the first time. General tao + noodles combo. First of, ive had the pleasure of trying many other restaurants for the same combo configuration. Some were blah, oily, cloying, nice, saucy etc etc. But the way they cooked at this location, there has to be some sort of actual culinary professionalism here (actually studying culinary) because the taste, for what i am used to having at other restaurants, isnt the same at all and not in a bad way. The amount of visible dried chillies, an actual bayleaf, maybe even some numbing peppercorn (huajiao i think) creates such a fragrant meal its more of an experience than just a mere take-out. Even their eggrolls is unlike anything I've had. Its like asking your mom to make u a meal, and then she tries her best to make THAT meal, then serves it to u. The taste isnt what u are expecting (commercial taste), but its home made and its made with care 😀. And the best part, i dont feel heavy/lethargic/itis after eating it all. Quality food at a somewhat reasonable price. Maybe just a sliver higher than regular chinese takeout joints,...
