I came here after seeing some tiktoks on the “authentic” amritsari taste however I will have to disagree. The restaurant was empty other than two ladies at a table. A gentlemen had seated us at a booth. Cleanliness was okay, the booth was not wiped clean but not a big deal for us. After using the washroom, we viewed the menu and waited… and waited.. no server approached us. Then after about 15 minutes one of the two ladies that were sitting down approached us.. I was shocked that they were aware customers were seated and waiting however let us wait to continue their conversation… This was not a good start. Our waitress was nice afterwards however it didn’t really make up for the beginning. Then.. Food aa gya.. and it was not good. Corn rolls were 2/5 for taste, only good thing it was crunchy. The amritsari kulcha was made like aalo walle paraunthe…. not crunchy how they should be. The only 5/5 tasting things were the chutney & chole provided. Not worth the money.. And to add… we had to go to the front and wait as the servers werebusy in conversation again.. Hope Patiala House can improve the experience for their customers. 😪

Our favourite restaurant was closed due to construction and last minute decided to try this place out. Kudos for all female run restaurant. I didn’t see one male in the kitchen. Part open style kitchen (making just roti/Chappatis) the rest of the kitchen is hidden behind a wall or in a room at the back. First for a Indian takeout restaurant only, the food for costed us close to $90 including taxes all vegetarian (& some vegan) - nothing special. Second the food was just ok. There wasn’t that oomph factor for any of the dishes that stood out. The Chole, the Shahi Paneer, Paneer Lababdar, Aloo Gobi, an order of rice and an order of tandoori chaap that comes with salad but had had only grilled onions. The two tawa roti and naans were also huge disappointment. Normally we but the same dishes and we have leftoversi for at least another meal for 1 or 2. In this case there was nothing left. The order took good 40 minutes to prepare. And surprisingly the last thing they struggled to bring out was plain rice.

Visited this restaurant last night for dinner with a group of friends. The food taste and the first time experience at this place was a disaster. We ordered patiala baingan curry which was good among the other dishes we tried. We had garlic naan, lacchha paratha, rara chicken curry, chicken tikka masala, achari chicken curry. According to them these three are best selling dishes and spicy curries. Unfortunately, we couldn’t find any difference between them except the kalonji in the achari chicken curry. Three chicken curries named different from each other, taste just alike, spice level is the same, chicken is the same, curry base sauce is the same, nothing is different, how wonderful I shouldn’t forget to mention the only thing we liked was the laccha paratha, it was good. We couldn’t satisfy our hunger, taste buds, nothing! Just returned with a complete disappointment from this place. Hope the management can take a closer look at this.

I usually don’t leave negative reviews, but my experience at Patiala House was honestly one of the worst I’ve had in a long time. I came across this place through Instagram Reels—tons of hype, flashy videos, trending food shots, and people raving about the place. Naturally, I thought I’d give it a try and went in with some expectations. Unfortunately, the reality was the complete opposite of what was shown online.

The moment I entered, it was utter chaos. The place was overcrowded, which I understand happens sometimes—but what’s unacceptable is that there was absolutely no management or system in place. I waited for more than 20 minutes, and no one came to take my order. Not even a “we’ll be with you in a minute” or basic acknowledgment from the staff. I was just sitting there at a dirty table, watching others around me look equally confused and frustrated.

There seemed to be no host, no queue management, and the staff who were present looked completely overwhelmed and uninterested. It was as if the restaurant was just riding on its Instagram popularity and didn’t care one bit about the actual dining experience.

I honestly don’t understand the hype. A restaurant’s success shouldn’t be just about social media trends—it should be about hospitality, service, and food quality. Sadly, I didn’t even get to try the food because I was never attended to, despite being seated and waiting patiently.

If you’re thinking of visiting because of social media—don’t fall for the trap. My advice is to avoid the place until (or unless) they fix their service, clean up their act, and actually start treating customers with the basic courtesy and respect every diner deserves.

Extremely disappointed. Definitely...

My dining experience at Patiala House was elevated to new heights, thanks to the exceptional service provided by Server Shruti, the culinary expertise of Chef Pawan, and the seamless coordination by Aman.

Server Shruti exhibited unparalleled professionalism and genuine warmth throughout our meal. Her knowledge of the menu, coupled with insightful recommendations, ensured that our dining choices perfectly matched our preferences. Shruti's attention to detail and impeccable timing created a dining atmosphere that was not just a meal but an experience to remember.

Chef Pawan's culinary prowess deserves accolades. Each dish that emerged from his kitchen was a masterpiece, showcasing the rich and authentic flavors of Indian cuisine. The artistry in presentation and the use of fresh, high-quality ingredients reflected Chef Pawan's dedication to his craft.

Aman, with his adept coordination and friendly demeanor, orchestrated a seamless dining experience. From the moment we entered Patiala House until the end of our meal, Aman's attentiveness and commitment to customer satisfaction were evident.

Together, Shruti, Chef Pawan, and Aman have created a dining experience that goes beyond excellent service and exquisite cuisine; it's a journey into the heart of Indian culinary artistry. I highly recommend Patiala House to anyone seeking not just a meal but an unforgettable dining adventure. The trio of Shruti, Chef Pawan, and Aman embodies the essence of hospitality and culinary excellence...

I visited Patiala House on one of the hottest days of the month, and unfortunately, the AC wasn’t working, making it very uncomfortable. The water glasses had visible spots and didn’t look clean. While I politely said I liked the food, the host immediately insisted I leave a review. I had agreed, intending to write one later in my own words, but instead, she pushed me to post it on the spot. In fact, she even asked if she could write the review herself, which was completely unprofessional and made the whole process feel forced and fake. No one should be writing a review about their own service and expecting it to come across as genuine. The service was very slow despite the restaurant not being busy, which made me wonder how they’d handle things during rush hours. What really made it worse was that when I wanted to wash my hands, the host ignored that and kept pushing for the review instead of respecting my space or timing. She even asked me to move closer to the door to get better signal just to post the review again, ignoring my basic need to wash hands after eating. Thankfully, my internet didn’t work at the time, or else she would have published a review that wasn’t mine and didn’t reflect my honest experience.

This entire experience felt forced, uncomfortable, and disappointing. Reviews should be honest and voluntary, not pressured or written by the staff themselves. It left a very negative impression, and I wouldn’t recommend the place based on service and...
