Today, on a Labour day Sunday my family went to this sunset grill for a late breakfast at noon. Expecting it to be busy my wife who is recently physically challenged has difficulty walking and does not yet have the upper body strength to manage the crutches for a long period. So I remained in the car with her close to the door so that I could help her get directly to the table when ready and not stand outside in the comming rain due to the extremely small waiting area. I left my 13-year-old son in line to wait for the next table for 3. After a long 25 minutes my son texted for us to come in as the manager/host wanted us to come inside the table was ready. As we hobbled to the door we were forced to wait outside since the waiting area was full and the rain began. As I looked inside I realized that the table was not ready and according to my son he would not seat him until we were all inside the restaurant which as stated was impossible due to the micro waiting area. I then approached the manager/host to explain the situation. He refused to acknowledge me cutting me off during the first sentence and then walked past me to seat the next customer. I Informed my son and wife that I didn’t want to stay overhearing that. He then pointed at a table and said 10 seconds is that so bad? I looked at my wife who was still wet from the rain with arms sore and repeated my intention to leave. The manager then said in a taunting tone “Bye have a nice day”. On the drive to Giggling Tomatoes (Better prices, better service, better food and no wait), My son told me that the only reason he received a table was because of rest of the waiting customers advocated for him. Telling manager that he was next. The manager/host bypassed him 4 times took other customers instead directly ignoring his protests that he was next. Perhaps Sunset grill doesn't care if they have my business and that is fine. However today they took my time, ignored my wife, my son and I. and were too disrespectful to just listen for 12 seconds for that I will never again give them any...
Read moreSunset Grille - crab cake benedict with asparagus at -9525 Mississauga Rd Unit 1, Brampton, ON L6X 0Z8 is truly a gem in the world of breakfast spots, and it holds a special place in my heart. My family and I have made it a tradition to visit this delightful establishment at least once a month, often more frequently when friends join us. Our recent visit on August 31st was, as always, a delightful experience.
The highlight of my visits to Sunset Grille is the "Crab Cake Benedict with Asparagus." This dish is an absolute masterpiece, and it never fails to impress. The crab cake is perfectly seasoned and pairs wonderfully with the asparagus. It's a flavor combination that keeps me coming back for more.
One of the aspects I truly appreciate is that we usually get the same table or one in close proximity, which adds a comforting touch to our visits. The staff at Sunset Grille are not just friendly; they are genuinely kind. Their warm and welcoming demeanor adds to the overall experience.
Service is consistently prompt, and I'm always amazed at how they keep an eye on our coffee cups, ensuring they're topped off regularly. It's these little attentions to detail that make this place stand out.
I must give a special shout-out to the scotch bonnet hot sauce they offer. It's a spicy kick that elevates many dishes, and I sincerely hope they keep it on the menu. Even though asparagus is seasonal, I believe they can easily substitute it with a winter vegetable of similar texture, ensuring that their signature dishes remain accessible year-round.
In the company of my daughters, Ariana and Ellie, Sunset Grille has become a cherished spot for us. We wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic breakfast experience in Brampton. And let's not forget the sweet touch at the end - those lollipops at the cashier are a delightful treat that puts a smile on our faces as we leave. Sunset Grille is more than just a breakfast place; it's a place where memories are...
Read moreI decided to give this location another try since it’s close to Walmart. I came in this morning to have brunch. I waited along with some people at the front to be seated. About ten to fifteen minutes later, Bianca, a very rude and arrogant waitress decided I should sit all the way in the back of the restaurant because I was dining alone. I sat here watching people coming after me getting seated and served. AS I sat there waiting finally the rude waitress came over and give me a napkin and utensils. she ask if anyone came over. I told her why am sitting here waiting so long to be served. She said oh because you are just one person. Are you kidding me? She was mad at me for voicing my opinion. When she brought over a menu I pointed out to her that a gentleman came after me and Sat at a regular table up front was being served by her. When I told her that she said he is waiting for someone I got up and put on my coat. She was like fine have a good weekend and walked away. As I was getting ready to leave another waitress, Wanda walk by and I asked for the manager. She went and got the manager, Lauren. The manager came and apologized and asked me to stay and to please allow her to serve me. I agree to stay because the manager was so nice and felt bad for the way I was treated. She wanted to make it up to me. As I sat there waiting Bianca later came around with a pot of coffee and just glared at me and walk pass. The gentleman who she said is waiting on someone was dining alone. He got his meal and finished and left. Thank you to Lauren and Wanda for making up for Bianca rude and unprofessional behaviour. She needs property training on how to deal with customer. I give two stars for Lauren awesome and outstanding service and Wanda’s friendly service. Bianca can learn from these two...
