Probably one of the better Vietnamese restaurants in the city but still not amazing. For some reason this location does not live up to its other locations. The portions get increasingly smaller while the service gets ruder. The fresh rolls were once filled nicely, plump and full, now they're small, thin and skimpy. The spring rolls were refried meaning they came out stale and wrinkly. The rice flour cakes I ordered was a disaster. I could tell they freezer burnt from their texture and taste, way below standard compared to the other locations. The Pho and the rice here are not amazing, but not bad. They often forget to bring out the side soup with the rice and when reminded they give you dirty looks. When the soup did come out it was about half of what is normally served. The servers need to brush up on manners and start being more welcoming instead of glaring at customers who come in and complaining to each other about the guests in Vietnamese. Very...
Read moreI've been a repeat customer for well over 5 years. I've overlooked their constantly increasing prices and even forgave their decreasing portions. However my latest experience cemented my position to stop shopping at this establishment.
I ordered my family's favourite rice dish so we can have some comfort food as we kept a hospital bed side vigil for our loved one whose health has been rapidly declining.
I mentioned to the order taker that I'm at the hospital and would appreciate if she could include some plates and cutlery in the bag as we're eating at the hospital. She said they don't have any. I asked what abou the small foam take out containers. She said no. I then ask what about the plastic soup take out containers? She said she'd have to charge to which I said OK.
I picked up the food, came back to the hospital, opened it and the container was not even half full. Extremely disappointing. Good bye Pho Da Bao,...
Read moreI've been coming here to have pho for a couple of months. I decided to get a noodle dish. The dish came out and looked unappetizing but I had a bite anyways. When I told the servers I didn't like the dish, they said it was my fault I ordered it and I had to pay for it. They said they would replace it if I didn't touch it. I explained I had one bite to see if I could eat it and I couldn't. They said that was my fault. In my opinion-this isn't the way you treat a paying customer. The server was extremely rude and I even came back the next day to talk to manager where I was explained-if you didn't touch the food we would throw it away and pay your money back. How is that different from me taking one bite and saying I didn't like it? I am extremely disappointed and I would never come back. So beware customers make sure you don't touch your food if you don't think it looks good!...
