I recently made the mistake of ordering takeout from Biryani King, and I must say it was a complete disaster. From the appalling quality of the chicken to the shockingly bad meetha paan, my experience was nothing short of a culinary nightmare.
Let's start with the chicken. It was dry, overcooked, and tasted nothing like it should. It seemed like the chicken had been sitting around for far too long before being packed for takeout. The meat was tough and lacked any hint of flavor. It was a struggle to even finish a single piece without feeling like I was chewing on cardboard. The overall quality was downright unacceptable and left me questioning how this restaurant could let such abysmal chicken leave their kitchen.
But the disappointment didn't end there. The meetha paan, which is supposed to be a delightful and refreshing after-meal treat, turned out to be an absolute disaster. The paan leaves were wilted and tasted stale, as if they had been kept for days before being served. The filling was cloyingly sweet and had an artificial flavor that made my taste buds cringe. It was clear that no effort was put into ensuring the freshness and quality of the meetha paan, leaving me with a strong urge to spit it out rather than consume it.
Even though it was takeout, the overall experience was far from satisfactory. The packaging was sloppy and haphazard, with leaked sauces and an unappealing presentation. It seemed as if no care was taken to ensure that the food would travel well or maintain its quality during transit.
To make matters worse, the prices at Biryani King were unreasonably high for the appalling quality of food they provided. I felt cheated and deceived by the misleading menu descriptions and the premium prices they charged for such subpar fare.
In conclusion, my takeout experience from Biryani King was a complete disaster. The chicken was dry and tasteless, and the meetha paan was a nauseating blend of staleness and artificial sweetness. The lack of attention to quality and presentation, coupled with the exorbitant prices, makes it impossible for me to recommend this place to anyone. Save yourself the disappointment and find a different establishment that values the taste and satisfaction of...
Read moreWe've given this restaurant 2 tries before we gave up completely. Our first attempt was in April 2012 based on a recommendation from a co-worker (who has since apologized, though it's not his fault, it was a nice gesture). We ordered almost one of everything on the menu so we weren't surprised that it took 30 minutes to prepare our order. Food was good, but for a takeout-only place you would think that it would be a tad faster in the service department. We let that one slide since the food was good.
Yesterday, June 20th 2012 my husband who is as a pale as a white guy can get and patient to a fault, went to pick up 10 pieces of naan bread and samosas. It took 30 minutes. 30 MINUTES FOR NAAN AND SAMOSAS??? What angered him was that all the Indian people who came in after him who did not pre-order, got their naan bread and everything they ordered before him. Let me repeat. 30 MINUTES FOR NAAN!!!
If you're ever wondering how the cooks in the back were being picky-choosy over who they serve just look up and smile at the cameras. They're not there for security.
Racist service in 2012? REALLY???? Food can't taste good when the service leaves you with a nasty taste in your mind. We won't be coming back. And the old mantra 'A happy customer tells 5 people but an unhappy customer tells 15'? well thanks to the internet I hope to reach at least 15,000 peeps. YOU SUCK...
Read moreI was really craving biryani for my dinner this evening, and thought why not give a smaller local business my order.
I pulled up to this store, for what looked like closing time. Wasn’t greeted or anything, waited about 5 minutes before two young ladies came out of the very loud kitchen.
Asked what my order is, and continued their conversation amongst themselves. After placing my order, the “till controller” assumed I was paying by debit and started to type into the machine my total. She failed to tell me what that total was, again, sidetracked by her conversation. When I proclaimed I was going to pay with cash, she assumed I could either read her mind, or the debit machine upside down. - I didn’t know the total, but was rudely told “so pay”
Instantly regretting this decision after handing over my money, I said it was what it was.
When I received my food moments after paying, it was slammed on the counter as if I was doing them a disservice by coming in while their conversations were happening. I told the young lady, you don’t need to slam or throw my food. Without apologies or any sort of shame, I had barely moved from the counter and she had already scurried from in front of me to the back to continue her oh so important conversation.
Worst customer service ever.
Did the food live up to my craving? Beyond mediocre
Will not be returning, or letting my...
