I always ordered channa kulcha from Rajdhani restaurant. When I ordered today for take out and what I see at home… it was totally different in taste and it was too small as compared to before…after one bite of kulcha I called them right away but a lady told me you can get back with those kulchas and I will taste it, then I will decide. At the point when my husband went back to Rajdhani within 10-15 minutes. Rajdhani employee talk to me and she said you already taste it so we can not take it back, seriously??? Without having one bite how can I tell them taste. And they just provide two bhatura. The thing is that Rajdhani used to satisfied always our taste buds but from now I will deny to go there. Before, on the day of DIWALI, I ordered water of bottle with my take out food because I was feeling thirsty. Me and my husband drink thet water, in last sip we noticed there was something white like little stones. I was worried because I am pregnant. When I ask them on counter what it is they said “we gonna check all bottles” but they find something same in other bottles, we still leave it. But for today I am completely disappointed with their food they make frozen kulchas it was taste like that.

We went for a family dinner just recently and was not disappointed with the food. You basically order the food and go to the table and wait till your number gets called. You pick up the food and eat. The staff really needs to learn what’s in the food and what’s not. When asked if there was any butter or milk products in some of the curries, you get a Yes and then a few questions later and going to the kitchen a couple of times, the answer is No. Understand that not many vegans come to this but I think they need to be ready now that there are many who would like no dairy in their food for one reason or the other. The naans and rotis are not made in the traditional tandoori oven, but rather than an oven that looks exactly like a pizza oven. They are honest that they are not from tandoor oven. Disappointing, because the naans and rotis tasted not the same. The Masala Dosa was a big pleasant surprise. Tasted just like a South Indian restaurant. For a Punjabi restaurant to make this was a surprise. The curries perfect. The Chole mild by Indian standards. The Thali well priced and perfect in every way. Funny sign on the door.

Editing my 6 year old 5⭐️ review due to my most recent experience. Firstly I was ingnored and the next customer was approached while i was waiting to be greeted andasked for my order but I reminded the girl and she took my order... but again on the counter they cleared out the customer behined me, while I waited there to order my remaining order (as they never asked me after my sweets order, if I have to order more) Anyhow, the lady at the counter did apologized for this and I was not going to post this incident here... but when I came home and opened the sweet box... most of the gulab zamuns were broken... If I had took this box for someone else and not for myself this would have ruined my reputation for gifting broken sweets. They clearly need to train their staff better on how to pack take outs and use quality products.. as sadly these days presentation matters more than taste.

I recently ordered takeout from this establishment and was quite disappointed with the overall experience. The dhokla was extremely soggy and lacked proper seasoning. Instead of traditional green chilies, jalapeños were used, which altered the authentic flavor profile. The mint chutney also fell short in taste and freshness.

We ordered the vegetarian thali, which included three vegetable dishes. One of them was kadhi pakora, but unfortunately, the pakoras were missing entirely. When I called to report this, the staff member asked me to come and pick up the missing item, which felt inconvenient and unprofessional.

The butter naan was served without any butter, yet we were charged for it. It appeared to be brushed with oil instead, which again compromised the authenticity and quality.

While this restaurant has been around for a long time, the quality and service seem to be deteriorating. It feels as though the ownership may be franchising to individuals who lack experience in running a restaurant. In the GTA, there are numerous options for vegetarian Indian cuisine, and unfortunately, this place no longer stands out.

Many Indian restaurants in the area, such as Chaat Hut and Kwality, continue to offer the same menu items without innovation or improvement. Kwality, in particular, seems to be nearing the end of its relevance. Rajdhani appears to be following a similar path—relying on outdated offerings, declining food quality, and undertrained staff.

Cleanliness is another concern. Some locations have poorly maintained dining areas and washrooms, which is unacceptable.

Even the sweets lacked quality—dry and overly sweet, made primarily with sugar and all-purpose flour. During Ganpati festival, the modak seemed to be made from the same base as kaju katli, just reshaped, which felt misleading.

Overall, I hope these restaurants recognize the need to evolve, maintain hygiene standards, and invest in quality ingredients and staff training. The Indian food market abroad deserves better...

Title: A Savory Feast at Rajdhani Restaurant, Thanks to Shubh's Excellent Service

Review:

My recent visit to Rajdhani Restaurant was an absolute delight, thanks to the exceptional service provided by Shubh. From start to finish, his attentiveness and knowledge of the menu truly enhanced our dining experience. Not only did he make us feel welcome, but he also recommended some absolutely delicious dishes that left us craving for more.

One of the highlights of our meal was the Veg Thali. This carefully crafted platter offered a variety of flavors and textures that satisfied our taste buds. The thali consisted of aromatic basmati rice, warm and fluffy bhaturas, a medley of flavorful curries, and an assortment of mouth-watering sides. Each individual component was expertly prepared, and the harmonious combination of flavors made every bite a delightful experience.

The bhaturas, in particular, were a standout. Shubh ensured they were served fresh and piping hot. Their soft, slightly crispy texture and the heavenly aroma were an instant hit. When paired with the rich curries from the thali, it created a perfect harmony of taste and texture that would please even the most discerning palate.

What made this dining experience truly memorable was Shubh's attention to detail and his commitment to ensuring our complete satisfaction. He was prompt in refilling our plates, checking in on us regularly, and providing insights into the various dishes we were enjoying. His friendly nature and willingness to go above and beyond truly added an extra layer of warmth to our dining experience.

In conclusion, I highly recommend Rajdhani Restaurant for anyone seeking a truly scrumptious and authentic Indian dining experience. The Veg Thali, with its delightful blend of curries and the mesmerizingly delicious bhaturas, is a must-try. And with Shubh's exceptional service, you can rest assured that you'll be taken care of, making your dining experience all the...

This is another one of those, "we wanna do everything kind-of but nothing well" restaurants. Are they a street food place ? Maybe. Are they a place that offers full meal ? umm... Might be.. on certain days... Or are they trying to sell sweet-dishes ? Yea, that too.

The menu is confusing as hell. They somehow had the genius idea of having half the menu as a handout and the other half - containing the curries (sabzis) sitting separately on the table. So you end up basically darting from one menu to the other - and even that if someone tells you where the other half is. Otherwise, you are just sitting confused thinking what the hell is going on. On top of that they seem to be running short of these stupid menus altogether since one of the servers will come back in five minutes asking for the menu back. So you better make up your mind soon.. no pressure 🤣🤣🤣

With all this confusion and hurrying up with the menus you would think that their service would be fast. And my paduan, you would be completely wrong. Better make sure you have a stupid amount of time to wait around for the smallest of orders.

"No matter, I have time to wait. I just care about good food.", you say. And to that I would say, "Don't hold your horses there either Mr. HaveTooMuchTime" cos no way how you look at it, these guys are here just to take your money and then conveniently forget about what you were here for in the first place. These people have become jaded and only the jaded would feel...
