Santa Lucia Pizza Brandon — Restaurant in Brandon

I was in Brandon for an event with a friend and could not drive back to Portage la Prairie before ordering pizza to bring home with me. I ordered an XL Santa Lucia Special because why not! It is by far the best pizza ever!! I called ahead, was told 20mins for it to be ready for pickup, drove to get it and it was just coming out of the oven. Greeted by super friendly staff who took a few minutes to chat and ask about the original Santa Lucia Pizza in Thompson (my home town). My friend and I couldn't stand the thought of the pizza in the backseat for the drive back to Portage la Prairie so we had a tailgate snack party of 2 to enjoy the hot fresh pizza! I will be stopping in again next time I am in Brandon! So...

From walking in to first bite my Santa Lucia in Brandon experience was top tier. This little unassuming pizza place was like walking into my childhood. The aroma of the shop transported me back in time. The owner was inviting even just for my take out I felt welcomed and appreciated for coming into his shop. The young lady at the till was polite, pleasant and helpful. Her no pressure to up sell was the perfect approach to gain 2 more repeat customers. And the pizza was fantastic. The dough to sauce to topping ratio was perfectly balanced. Bread sticks, barely made it back to our room and I may be using the left over garlic butter as greek scented car airfreshener on our trip...

I ordered from Santa Lucia for the first time on a Friday evening. I was pleased to see that pizzas and pastas were BOGO 50% off! The online ordering system was convenient and the food was delivered at least 10 minutes earlier than the estimated 55 minutes. My aunt told me they have the best lasagna so, of course, I had to try it for myself. It was delicious and could easily feed two people! The sauce had plenty of meat, which was slightly sweet in flavour. The Italian and Mediterranean pizzas were tasty and had a generous amount of toppings. I'll be ordering...
