Skip on this brantford hole in the wall. While trying to support local businesses during this pandemic I decided to order from Palace. The person on the phone was rushy, and rude while I was trying to place my order. I was almost hung up on as soon as they got all the information they needed. I had to pull a "WAIT WAIT! Can you deliver it to the side door!?" (which they did not...which woke up my grandparents who live in the upper half of the house) to which they replied "um sure" and quickly hung up on me. I get being busy - but as someone who has worked in customer service almost my whole life - there is no excuse for this. I barely had time to ask for it to be taken to the side door - so I definitely didn't have time to confirm if the tzatziki sauce came w it or if I had to order it. (Every other time I have ordered cheeseballs - I know I haven't specifically asked for the sauce - and it has always been in the bag) I called again to ask about it and they were very weird on the phone about it. It seemed like they just didn't want to deal with it. I asked how much it was and after a long pause they told me a price...then proceeded to tell me they had been working there for 26 years "honey" and that I didn't know what I was talking about. I asked then if all the times I hadn't asked for the sauce if they had just been charging me for it without asking and I was hung up on. This employee who has worked there for "26 years" definitely shouldn't be. I know my tone of voice may not have been the nicest in the end - but after being called "honey" more than twice, being rushed on the phone in the first place, not being asked if I would like THE ONLY SAUCE YOU CAN EAT THEM WITH BTW, and having them completely ignore my request to have it delivered at the side door - I will absolutely never order from this business again. (PS: The cheeseballs and ESPECIALLY THE tzatziki are GARBAGE compared to Admirals! If you have the options to choose Admirals! It is definitely worth paying a little more $ - and you never have to ask for the tzatziki at admirals... it is included! and...
Read more**Update to this review, I have to change my review to a one star because I had returned to this place and ordered a double cheeseburger.
I was not even finished the first bite and I was pulling glass out of the burger.
I returned and the owner said that it wasn't possible for that to happen, however he apologized and refunded my money.
Id like to say that It IS possible because I spat out the one and only bite and returned promptly. Not sure what I had to gain from that situation, it seems like I lost pretty hard.
I cannot recommend this place anymore because the burger tried to kill me.
I have photos, not sure how to upload them, but I can provide them upon request.

I'm a traveller and have never eaten here before. I saw the most recent reviews and still decided to go.
The owners were working and were quite pleasant to deal with. The atmosphere of the place was quiet and calm, but it was mid-week and relatively early in the evening.
The prices were what initially drew me in. I see many burger places in my travels and they tend to fluctuate from really inexpensive (but cheap food) to really expensive (with okay food).
This scratched the itch of a inexpensive price balanced with mid quality food. It's what I was looking for.
I got a double burger and a double cheeseburger with a small fry and it came to $21 after tax. That's not terrible in my experience.
The food had that diner-style food and was tasty. My stomach also didn't rebel against me so I can say this wasn't a sketchy food experience lol.
The burgers were larger than expected and one was enough to fill me up. At the time of writing the fries were less than $4 and you got a really nice portion.
Overall, I recommend this place to people who have a small/medium budget and enjoy classic diner-style food. While it doesn't break the mold in any way, it's a comfort food that you'll be familiar with. The owners were nice and welcoming to anyone that came in while...
Read moreI have been going to Palace Submarine for over twenty years. In that time, the staff has changed, the décor has changed, and I even wager a guess that the ownership has changed. But one thing that has stayed exactly the same is their bacon double cheeseburger with onion rings.
The portions are huge. The burger is more than enough for one person, maybe even enough for two. And the onion rings—I only had a small, but from many places, it would have been a large. The bun is fresh, the burgers are cooked perfectly, and the ingredients all come together to provide that unique combination that makes a Palace Sub bacon double cheeseburger just right. I recommend you get it with everything.
The burger is messy, so you're going to want to have napkins. But I can guarantee it's exactly what the doctor ordered. That's if doctors prescribed bacon double cheeseburgers—and they don't. But maybe they should. One thing that I love about Palace Submarine is their consistency. How could I have been going to this restaurant for over twenty years and the burger has remained exactly the same? They always make it perfect. If you're in the area and you're craving one, I highly recommend you stop in. It's...
