The most delicious meal I've had in a while, gluten-friendly and only $12.45. It had a decent amount of fresh vegetables and a filling portion. I ordered the Spicy Peanut Noodle with Rice Noodles at mild spice. Creamy sauce, so delicious. Drinks from self-select cooler. Order and pickup at counter. Can call ahead for pickup. This place had great food selection with several different Asian countries menu choices. You can even build your own dish by adding tofu, egg, meats or shrimp plus selecting level of spiciness. They have some tasty looking extras, spring roll, tempura or spicy chicken bites, macaroni balls, coconut prawns, naan bread, and sweet spring roll dessert. Menu is clearly marked for gluten-friendly and vegetarian meals. Choice of different kinds of noodles or rice. This place has nothing much for atmosphere, Just plain stark modern. Walls are dark grey, furniture black and a few red metal stools plus red light fixtures. Nice music playing. Staff pleasant, neatly dressed in black uniforms. Bathrooms clean. I'll be back. Good Asian food for a decent price and a good portion size. It was so good, I got one to go for tomorrow's meal. Environmentally conscious to-go dishes.

I want this place to be better than it is. It’s a steady reliable noodle spot with a decent menu. I’ve eaten at them at a number of their other locations but just don’t think I can again. The noodle to ingredient portion is just too off the mark. I get the challenge of balancing expensive ingredients with lower cost noodles but this last visit was way too much noodles and hardly enough protein and ingredients. Death by a thousand noodles. Kids noodle dish was 98% noodles with some chicken and greens. Won’t be going again unfortunately. We left without finishing our lunch.

This was my first time eating at the Duncan location and I was very disappointed. My order was ready on time so they get credit for that but my spicy peanut noodle dish was less than appetizing. The chunks of tofu were too big, there was so much sauce it was like a mushy noodle soup. The peanut sauce had an unusual flavour as well. It just wasn’t good. The kitchen was also very messy. I won’t be going back. They won’t stay open long at this rate.

My boyfriend called at 6:35 pm on a Saturday to order two noodle dishes for pickup. The lady who we spoke with on the floor immediately mentioned they ran out of rice, and they were closing in 20 minutes. I mentioned we were hoping to order two noodle bowls, and could be there within 15 mins to pickup. The lady then let out the loudest, most exasperated sigh I’ve ever heard. The entire phone call she was rude, she loudly sighed at us at least three times, and even verbally was annoyed when we asked if we could have hoikken noodles for both dishes.

I’ve worked in different restaurant industries for almost ten years, and I have never seen/experienced service as rude as this phone conversation. I’m unsure why they were closing at 6:50 when their hours online say they’re open until 8:00pm. Maybe because they were out of rice, but they could stay open and continue serving their noodle dishes. I always tip 20% (I’m a server, and never tip below 15%). This was the first time I refused to leave a tip for a restaurant. My boyfriend and I just moved to Duncan recently, and we were so excited to have noodlebox again as we haven’t had it in over a year. We will not be returning to this location...

I have eaten at the Nanaimo down town location and at this Duncan location I have eaten noodle box lots. Came to this Duncan location to try and see if it was different than down town Nanaimo location and was disappointed. I usually get the spicy peanut noodle box and there is no flavour what so ever. This time I got a ginger beef box and same thing no flavour, nothing from the beef possibly a slight taste but you would have to eat the beef alone with nothing else to notice it. And with the ginger beef box I got 6 pieces of beef that’s it. Not flavour and 3/4 of the box was rice that has no flavour. So I guess this must be at all noodle box locations for the flavour not to be there. Very disappointed,

My girlfriend got Thai style chow mein with Tofu and she had to add her Thai sauce from her spring rolls to get some kind of flavour so it would not taste like she was eating water.

Ordered veggie spring rolls and they were salted also never had salted spring rolls before.

Don’t think I am the only one. I watched a girl come in and leave with her noodle box and came back for soya sauce after 5 mins from...
