Pizza Pizza — Restaurant in British Columbia

Crappiest customer service ever. I ordered 2 pizzas at 18:07 and kept an eye on the tracker for delivery. As it said "being prepared", I went to the washroom briefly. Upon returning, there were two missed calls from my front door and one missed call from pizza pizza- apparently, the order had been out for delivery and their tracker doesn't even work. Within 2 minutes of them ringing my buzzer, I was already calling them back. Never before a delivery person LEFT with my order without even waiting a whole of 5 minutes. I called back and was told they would redirect the pizza BACK, and it would take 5 minutes, 10 tops. 20 minutes later, no pizza. I call back, am placed on hold for 5 minutes, then I am told that they decided to bring my pizzas back to the store to warm them up instead of delivering it to my house. The pizzas would be here in yet another 10 minutes. This is the most absurd delivery situation I have even been through. I really enjoy the product but this experience will put me off ordering from Pizza Pizza in the future. I cancelled my order and decided to figure something else out to eat, considering at this point it's been nearly 90 minutes since I ordered it and I am starving. Their customer service didn't even care to offer anything over this complete incompetence, and when I said so they said "there's nothing for us to be sorry for", or something to that effect. Very disappointed. Picture attached shows proof that it didn't even take 2 minutes for me to get to the phone, meaning they didn't even wait AT ALL.

BUYER BEWARE

There is a deal advertised on their website - $11.99 for a large 1-topping pizza. We have used this deal multiple times in-person. When I ordered a large pepperoni pizza at the store the other day, I was charged regular price. I paid, thinking the deal must no longer exist. However, sure enough, the deal was still there when I checked online. When I went to pick up the pizza, I asked and the employee said that the deal is “online only”.

When I got home, we read the fine print and it did not indicate anywhere that this special is “online only”. My husband went back to the store to confirm and the employee tried to argue that I had ordered the “recipe pizza”. Eventually they admitted that you CAN get the pepperoni pizza with the special so there was no reason to charge regular price for it, especially since I had referenced the special. Eventually, my husband was given a $5 refund (the total difference was $5.65 lol. Oh well, by now, the amount we were owed was no longer the point).

All that to say, if the employee had charged me the regular price by mistake, I wouldn’t be mad. But to lie and say the special was “online only” to avoid honouring the deal is pretty scummy.

An email to their corporate office did not yield anything besides a scripted apology and response saying they will forward this to the appropriate team to address with the individuals involved.

All in all, pretty disappointed that none of the Pizza Pizza representatives proactively tried to make this right. We will...

We frequently order and have always given great reviews. Tonight however will be the last time we order. Ordered at 7:30pm and we are currently still waiting for our order. The phone number directs you to some sort of more head office type thing who have apparently contacted the store each time I’ve called and each time I keep being told it’s on the way which it obviously isn’t. The store is a 4 min drive downhill but also a 20 min walk straight uphill hence why we ordered for delivery. They offered the food for free which is a great gesture but also a completely pointless thing to say considering the food will never reach us. Each time I called I gave them details eg contact this phone, I’m waiting outside, filled them in on everything that was said and somehow still nothing. So disappointing when a business just straight up lied to you. It’s now too late to figure anything else especially as we have work early hours.
