Sambole - The Taste Of Ceylon — Restaurant in British Columbia

had the pleasure of dining at this incredible Sri Lankan restaurant in Vancouver, and it truly exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked in, the warm ambiance and the aroma of spices made me feel right at home.

The food is absolutely authentic — rich in flavour, beautifully spiced, and clearly made with care. I tried the rice and curry combo, and every dish on the plate was a standout: the coconut sambol was fresh and zesty, the dhal was creamy and comforting, and the chicken curry had just the right amount of heat and depth. Their hoppers were light and crispy, and the beef kottu roti was packed with flavour — just like what you’d find in Sri Lanka.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making the whole experience feel personal and welcoming. It’s rare to find such an authentic Sri Lankan taste outside of the island, but this spot delivers on every level.
