If you’re looking for something truly special, look no further than Atlas Uyghur Restaurant. This place delivers a culinary experience that is generous, soulful, and packed with flavour. I’ve been four times in just one month and I already know I’ll be back again very soon.
The food is simply delicious. Every single dish is seasoned with care and clearly made by someone who knows exactly what they’re doing. It’s authentic, it’s hearty, and it feels like it’s coming straight from someone’s home kitchen. There’s nothing pretentious about it, just bold, comforting, and satisfying food.
The dumplings are incredibly generous. The lamb with rice pilaf is tender and rich in flavour. And the handmade noodles in the spicy sauce, I think it was with lamb, are honestly to die for. Everything is spiced to perfection and full of balance. I would recommend every single item on the menu without hesitation.
The atmosphere is charming. The space is cute and has this blend of Chinese and Arabic design that feels warm and unique. It’s a family-run place and you can feel that in the service, in the way the dishes are plated, and in the overall energy. There’s so much heart behind it.
It can be a little tricky to find if you’re not familiar with the area, but it’s worth the trip every time. There’s plenty of parking and once you arrive, you’ll be glad you came. The prices are also incredibly reasonable given the portions and quality.
Honestly, I have nothing negative to say. Atlas Uyghur is the kind of place that deserves to be known and celebrated. It’s the kind of restaurant that reminds you why...

C’est ici le restaurant est tellement très bien. Vous devez venir ici pour essayer toute le menu!
This is as authentic and as delicious and as flavorful as Uighur cuisine gets.
This is our second time here and it’s our place of choice for any dining out experiences as a family.
The “simsa” (Uighur word for samosa) melts in your mouth (fat, beef and onions) and it comes out fresh and hot and just at the right temperature.
The cumin flavor is very fresh and prominent across their dishes.
I’m generally not a fan of cubed kebabs, however, these kebabs here in the pic are tender, they don’t smell and they taste divine. Just the right amount of softness and peppered with a little bit of dry red chili 🌶 (on the side), it’s a must have.
The hand pulled noodles (Marjan) with mince meat are very filling. In fact any dish with the hand pulled noodles is good.
The polao which is a rice dish is also cooked in fat and comes with pieces of grilled lamb that are deliciously tender and drip of flavor (who said fat is bad for you ☺️).
The proprietor, Adil, is a thorough gentleman and courteous as well as humble. We’ve enjoyed our engagement with him and the staff and not to forget: very fast and efficient service.
Our younger one loves their soup and we strongly recommend you try it along with the milk tea (served hot with salt and homemade cream - similar to Mongolian tea).

Read moreWe came to Atlas Uyghur Restaurant on a Sunday for dinner. We arrived at 5:30 and ordered a Big Plate Chicken (large size), Lamb Qordak (large size), Lamb kebab (×2) and a Pilov all for takeout. The food took them a really long time to prepare. We were told 30 mins but even after 40 mins we checked in and it wasn't ready at 45 mins. Therefore, I recommend for takeout order from home ahead of time, and then come to pick up.
The food was absolutely delicious! The Lamb Qordak and Lamb Kebabs were our favourites. The Qordak was tender, slow-cooked lamb in a delicious curry that practically melted in our mouths. The stewed vegetables, too, were soft, savory, and soaking up all the luscious flavors from the curry base. This dish came with the Uyghur version of naan which was so tasty! The bread was soft and fluffy and it had nuts in it! The crunch kinda surprised us at first. The Lamb Kebabs were perfectly grilled, but yet the meat was juicy inside. Every bite was deeply satisfying.
We also loved the Pilov (forgot to take a picture), that reminded us of Indian and Pakistani pulao. It had a similar mix of fluffy rice, spices, and tender meat, all blended into a dish that was both hearty and mildly spicy.
The restaurant was decorated beautifully too and they had music playing in the background which was nice. We would definitely return, but we would dine in next time or order...
