UPDATE: I went at 12pm yesterday to confront the owner with the head office rep. I spoke with the head office Rep first, because the owner was serving customers. He offered to send me two free sandwiches for another location, and explained that the cash register display doesn't work, but that by law she can be charged $1000 for not printing the receipts from the cash register. Then we both went inside to get the owner, and she was trying to avoid him when he asked her to come speak with us. Finally after another 5 minutes, she came outside to meet us, she pretended she had never seen me before and was trying to rush to get back inside. She kept saying I need to see the receipts, which I had in my hand, and the rep kept saying "Jing, I already emailed you about this with copies of the receipts yesterday and I spoke with you earlier when I arrived". But she disregarded both of us and pretended she never seen me in her life. So I am going to make a formal complaint with the better business bureau. ORIGINAL WARNING: This is a warning that the franchisee at Dagwoods on Tashreau has ripped me off on 4 occasions over my last 6 visits: this is from August, again in October and then most recently on May 17th and two weeks ago on May 5th. I have contacted head office yet again and I'm meeting the Rep at the resto tomorrow to confront the owner in person. The first time I was overcharged 0.80 cents and the franchisee owner "Jing" claimed it was due to covid and that prices had gone up on the cash register. But it did not match the price on the menu, so I demanded my 0.80 cents back and called head office out of principle that merchants can't make up covid surcharges. They sent me a gift card and apology after several email complaints, because they were siding with the owner, after she had told them that she had only made an error. Basically she lied to head office and said she never claimed it was a covid charge. Then again in October, on my second visit she overcharged me 2 dollars and called me a 2 dollars b$&#@ for complaining to head office, please note I was using my gift card on this visit. This was in front of other customers as well. I called head office again and they never called me back, so I gave up. Recently I decided to try again, because I love Dagwoods and it's the only one on the south shore. Also I changed my hairstyle, so I figured I'd try again since she wouldn't recognize me, but my last two visits she over charged me $1 again, so I decided to confront her about it and I asked her to print the receipt, and when I saw the difference she claimed that it was human error and gave me my dollar back. But I reminded her that she has done this on 3 other occasions. As soon as she recognized me she berated me yet again and wouldn't let me speak. Anyways I left and called head office and followed up with an email So please ask for your actual receipt that itemizes your purchases if you go there, according to head office I'm the only one complaining. And she deliberately keeps printer off, according to the head office rep Zissis, the screen does not work. I don;t know what to believe. Anyways she just charges you via interact and gives the interact receipt. I don't have the other cash register receipts, because she doesn't print them unless you ask. But you will see the 0.80 cents given back and the time difference on both receipts for August, becuase i demanded my receipt! As well as the extra dollar she charged me on May 17. So be careful everyone. I won't be returning again, and this isn't just a matter of a few bucks, it's about her potentially ripping off every person who goes in there. Read moreBig Dagwoods fan, had never been to this location before. Ordered a large Le Club which is a 3 meat sub which I asked for extra meat on. First of all, the deli meat was so thinly sliced you could literally see through it not even adding double of the amount originally on the sandwich, had to ask for extras on each vegetable i added with how bad they were cheaping out.. at this point, whatever just give me the sandwich, but then the lady has the audacity to charge me 3.39$ of extra meat charges for each type of cold cut in the sandwich, came out to 26$ for a 12 inch sub with barely anything on it. Asked to talk to the manager , she claims to have warned me in her half broken french/english that the charge applied for all 3, he proceeds to tell me that they are working on prices knowing they don't make much sense. They never offered to put the Giardiniera on my Gino which it is suppose to come with when I asked them to put it on my veggie sub instead the manager apologized and told me it was extra. When we received our subs, the all dressed Veggie had hardly any toppings, which would of been understandable as a new employee made the sandwich but the manager oversaw the whole thing and made sure the guy spread the mayo on the top and not the bottom of the sandwich like it was the most important thing in the world. After we sat down to eat we proceeded to witness a bickering fest between long time employee and manager in front of the next customers about how to make a sandwich which lasted 5 mins.
