IMPORTANT! IF YOU HAVE ALLERGIES, BEWARE! Food: delicious! 5/5 stars. Portion size: huge! 4-person combo will satisfy more than 4 people. I ordered via SkipTheDishes. I was very specific about my allergies. I figured one of the battered things may have eggs and I asked them to simply write on the container for anything that had eggs so that I could avoid it. Asked for an extra order of naan (I explained how I love naan but one restaurant I knew of put eggs so again, just wanted to make sure that there were none here). Notice the note I got: nothing has eggs except for the naan (also - was it an error or were eggless naan actually brushed with egg?! Meaning, they could have chosen not to put egg on so that I could enjoy it, but they didn't? I am not sure.) Anyway. When the order arrived, I opened up a salad and found it covered in a creamy looking dressing - by experience, this often means eggs. I decided to call the restaurant to double check. At first the guy is telling me there is no egg in the dressing, but then he said "you mean the mayonnaise?" Uh ... duh! The fact that you used the word mayonnaise ...! Anyway - there's eggs in this. He checked with the kitchen. And then he mentions eggs in the kebab, eggs in the onion things .... If I hadn't phoned, I wouldn't have known any of this because whoever wrote the note (see attached photo) clearly states there are no eggs in any of these dishes!! Imagine if I had just eaten a bite of meat before calling! Allergies are important, and can be very dangerous. I don't want to give this restaurant a bad review (if you're just looking for good indian food, you will not be disappointed) so much as warn fellow allergy sufferers like me. Some restaurants take allergies seriously. People at Delhi Kabab have a lot of...
Read moreFirst of all. The food was really really amazing that right after I finished 3 plates of my order, I went to the bathroom, emptied it all out just so I can order again. If there is a question to find happiness, this restaurant is the answer. The food was delicious that while I am writing my review. I want to eat it again. This restaurant is probably the best place once can go to eat south asian food. Cooked with love and perfection. The place is clean, the food is delicious, heck! I can even live here because it is much more cleaner then my house. The service is excellent. The aura and the vibes is romantic. I thought my existence had no purpose, I found it today. It is to eat here. I went here and before I can order, I was given water, some tea, some snacks, some clothes, some pants, a HD TV, a Laptop, A new car. This is how they treat their customers. My mother did not even treat me like this. They told me I am a star, even my own relatives calls me waste of space. Before this restaurant, my life was full of misery, not anymore. I ordered and 2 minutes later, I got my food ready. Even Flash is not that fast. These people are the real heroes. One of the waiter here , he was a very nice boy with a big forehead. So big you can land an airplane. I think his name was Salmansuri or Salmanpoopi. Anyway He took care of me, he even fed me with his hand. He comforted me and walked me to my house. He gifted me his shoes as well. Wow! I will let him marry my daughter. Such a loving boy, and very handsome also.

Read moreMy friend and I are visiting Montreal for dinner. I picked this restaurant, not just for the high rating on Google reviews but because of the food pictures. Their pictures were the only ones that made me instinctively say, "Ooh! I wanna eat there."
So, we get seated and meet our terrific server Tahad (sorry if misspelled). I'm low key overwhelmed by all the options. I've never seen so many lamb dish options, never mind the chicken, vegetarian, and shrimp / seafood dishes as well.
We order veggie Pakosas. My friend orders Lamb Madras and naan. I order Chicken Karai with Kashmiri rice. My friend who loves lamb, gets it whenever he has the chance, tells me his dish is very good, probably the best lamb he's ever had. He loves the tenderness of the meat and the flavors.
I was excited when I saw the rice and my entree. My chicken karai was very flavorful, tender, and yummy AF. The rice, delightful!
Finally, I almost forgot to tell you about the pakosas. Tender potatos diced with finely ground spices. The 3 sauces were banging. The tamarind was very good. The dairy one also a great compliment. The pickled persimmon, no pickled passionfruit with black pepper? No... it was freaking CARROTS. Who the heck makes diced pickled carrots with black pepper that taste like this? I bought some to go!
Yes, though I live south of Canada's border, I look forward to visiting again and bringing my foodie friends.
Kudos to the chef, family, and serving staff here. It's definitely worth time if you are curious about eating...
