We were a party of five - out for my brother in law's birthday dinner. We all ordered the special number five. We ate our soups together, and that was it. Two plates of general tao came to the table, and about five minutes later, we were asked if we had received our spring rolls... We were promptly served these rather bland vegetarian spring rolls and about 10 minutes later the general tao shrimp dish arrived. We were still missing two meals at this point. We waited probably another 10 minutes and the chicken Soo- guy arrived. I still had not received my meal. (The Thai shrimp - the waitress said it was made with noodles) I finally went and asked our waitress, where my meal was after another 15 minutes or so and was told it was coming. At this point I would have cancelled my order, but I didn't want to make the experience any more awkward. A couple minutes later I was served a plate of fried noodles?..which I didn't accept. By the time was finally served my meal - everyone was finished theirs. The plate had a nice flavor, had 8 good sized shrimp on it and some noodles on the bottom, but consisted almost uniqly of onions. It really was a massive plate of onions- no joke.I should have taken a picture, but I do not usually write reviews. We were joking at the table, how it was a good thing I wasn't a yelper! Anyhow, The general tao is good and the portions are generous, but it is not spicy. When it came time to pay, they apologized and instead of discounting or comping the meal, they charged us extra for the noodles. On the way out I was given two spring rolls free of charge. They were busy, but I cannot accept the complete lack of customer care. I have never gone to a restaurant where everyone at the table was served at different times and with such long intervals in between. It was a really long, awkward and unpleasant dining experience.I will not be going back and cannot in good conscience recommend...
Read moreBased on JUST their food... It's a decent spot. Their General Tao is amazing.. It's actually one of the best! However; their Cantonese chow mein sucks. I honestly just go back for the general Tao because it's thaaaat good, but the service is pretty damn bad so it makes me not want to spend my money there at all.
The customer service is horrible! It's usually the same employees so it isn't hard to point them out. The main man that answers the phone & serves people isn't that bad. Whether I go to eat there or go to order take out, he rather make rude remarks instead of aplogizing if there is a mistake.
Now, the lady that works there is the absolute worst!!!!! Both her English & French are extremely poor yet she insists on taking orders while struggling. Her attitude is disgusting & she is extremely rude for no reason.. Makes you really not want to go back. Every time my BF or I go in to order.. She turns to whoever is there and makes rude remarks about us... Little does she know; I'm Asian as well so I understand what she says. She should really NOT be handling the cash whatsoever. Those few minutes with her paying at the end will ruin your entire experience. & don't bother calling in advance because the food is never ready when they say it will be. && also just try to refrain from calling all together... Trying to place your order & telling them your address will frustrate you so much that you won't even want to...
Read moreI used to come here regularly. Food exquisite and friendly service.
That wasn't the case tonight, on June 18, 2019.
My father received about a half-portion of Shanghai noodles, but was charged the full price. When asked about it, our waiter was rude, condescending and had attitude worse than a that of petulant teenager, and the lady (I think she was the floor manager?) was entirely nonchalant about it and would not do anything to satisfy my parents. I was embarrassed that they behaved this way in front of people I was dining with. We as customers do not need to tolerate this behaviour.
Listen to me buddy, thank your lucky stars I'm not your boss, because that were me I would have sacked you without hesitating. You're there to support the business: sustain, keep and bring in the business. Not drive them away. Will not be returning, you have lost a customer of 14 years and I will be recommending to my friends and other family that they stop going too.
Perhaps after losing some profits...
