Souvlaki Bar - DIX30 — Restaurant in Brossard

For starters the food is good but nothing to write home about. The portions are decent no complaints about that. I recommend this place to to everyone for the food but for the service I’m very sorry but it is horrible in the sense that I wasn’t greeted warmly whatsoever and no smiles from anyone while I sat and waited for my takeout order pretty much as though I did not exist. Even when my food was ready the bag was put on the table in front of me without a word. I even left a 10$ tip on my take out order but felt extremely unappreciated. I get home and find that my calamari order is missing so I call the restaurant and I’m told I am sorry i forgot to put it in ur bag the next time u come just say ur name and we will give u a calamari and also offer u a piece of cake. Thank you Please work on ur hospitality skills because it is the domain u decided to work in.

Update : March 23, 2023 I have to give credit where credit is due. I can honestly say now with my new experience that the first time I went must have been a one time off day maybe for the restaurant. I ordered tonight and I have to say the food was incredible it was so tasty and fresh and juicy my wife and in-laws loved it. As for the service it was so accommodating in every way possible. I have to thank Mathew and his team for rectifying a previous matter they went way beyond what was necessary to make me feel compensated and valued as a customer from the bottom of my heart I thank u Mathew. Very nice server, I love the uniform shirts they were wearing its very cute, also the server/waiter were really nicely coordinated, a girl greet you at then entrance, she gives you the menu, then one takes your order, and bring you your drinks and a guy, brings you your food, and takes it off the table. The place is simply gorgeous, its very cute and Blue and White like Santorini. They have a bunch of cheesy phrases all over like "Olive you" 😅 I really enjoyed the bowl I got, it seems ordinary but its really flavourful, in each bite there is a perfect ratio of meat, rice and salad, also the salad bowl is like some of their smaller stuff but its extremely filling and tasty, like the other portion , you will definitely need to bring some home. I tried the Frappe, which is not to be confused for a Milkshake, but they did tell us it wasn't a Milkshake, its like some whipped coffee its very soft and creamy, and smooth, "onctueux". The Frappe reminds me of the sort of coffee a lot of people were making during early covid. Finally the bathroom are relatively clean as you can, they're not like 100% but they are decent, and I read somewhere that the level of cleanliness of the bathroom indicates the level of cleanliness of the Kitchen, because bathroom are much easier to clean than a kitchen. Been here twice already and would like to share our experience.

Came here and back in May2022. Ate inside the restaurant. Very clean sitting areas. Menu had good choices at a reasonable price. The portions were pretty good.

My wife had the grilled octopus plate which she enjoyed. I had a pork yero Souflaki plate and came with Recife salad and green potatoes. I really liked the greek potatoes served here. It’s not fried or baked but is roasted in some flavourful dressing which I really liked.

Came back again this past weekend for lunch. Wife had a Pork Pita plate and I had same pork yero plate like last time. I really wanted to have the Greek potatoes. The meat and dressing inside the pita were generous. The salad, rice and Greek potatoes were a good accompaniment. Finished my plate and had a happy belly !!

The 2nd time we came, they had an outdoor terrace. It was a beautiful day so we ate on the terrace. The location of Souflaki bar is about a block away from the busy area so eating out on the terrace was pretty relaxing. Not a lot of people walking by to see you eating.

I would definitely eat here again. There was value in the portion and the food , for me, was delicious.
