06/14/23 Good food terrible service. We came in around 8:45 PM and it looks like it was at the end of any kind of rush. There were about 6 tables including us that were sitting down already when we came in. It wasn't very busy. We sat in the family area and communication in English wasn't a problem as they also have English menus.
We sat and ordered drinks which came out quickly. I had the lemonade which was very good but disappointed with the paper straws. I understand the point of it but the type of paper straw that was provided was awful. It disintegrated quite quick and I also got a lemon seed stuck in there. But that is nitpicking. We had the Caesar Salad which was pretty good and the Haloumi Cheese Fries. The fries were also excellent I totally recommend. After we finished our starters the time between we got the plates cleared and our server came to check on us was about 10 minutes in a near empty restaurant. He checked on us only twice throughout the entire dinner which was disappointing. Through this time waiting for our entrees I noticed him talking to customers and other front of house staff whilst I see my food dying in the window.
For our mains I had the steak sandwich flatbread. It was seasoned very good and well balanced in flavor. The horseradish Mayo was outstanding and honestly the biggest highlight of the night. It is well worth ordering on the side if you choose not to get the steak sandwich. The sandwich was also served with fries but the fries were not anything special. They were for sure frozen and looked like bottom of the bag fries which means they were all tiny pieces. I don't have a problem with frozen fries but serving tiny pieces is a joke. The salami pizza was also very good. We took off the mushrooms so I cannot comment on the original product but I will say it was very tasty. The dough was fluffy and crisp the cheese was good and the salami was fantastic. In my opinion a bit more red onion and salami would've been a bit better as the dish showed that the dough was the main highlight of the dish. Despite my nitpicking the food was quite good I must say but throughout the entire experience he was very slow in attending to us when we needed drinks.
Overall I would return back but i would think twice about making a decision on coming back due to the bad service.

The service was extremely slow. When he came to take our order, he seemed to be in such a rush with the both of us.
When it was my turn to order, I asked him a couple of questions, and he answered as if he was annoyed, and I told him I'm not ready and to come back in a few minutes. And then, of course, he took so long to come back. During the wait, we were able to clarify that he didn't share the right information the first time around.
When he came back, I repeated my previous request right away. He denied it, and I decided to call him out when he denied the same request. And THEN, without him trying to rush off, he clarified what he was saying, and I told him, but the first time, I wasn't done talking to you, and you wouldn't let me finish. All I wanted to know was if I could request them to remove bacon from certain dishes!!!!
The drinks were terrible! It was just a terrible experience.
I guess I have to clarify this part. I am not trying to "insinuate" anything! It's just another negative to the entire experience that whether it was the service people or customers, we were the only people of color! If diversity and inclusion are valued, then the employees should not be cold or try to rush us off the only people of color there! Does that make sense? And as I already said, I ONLY noticed this after the rudeness! Otherwise, I didn't even look around! So it's interesting not to have a reply based on the terrible customer service!
Also, when my friend spoke to the waiter in French, he asks would you prefer English or French... I believe it's important to reply in the language that the customer speaks to you in! If my friend speaks in French, reply in French and if I at the same table speak in English I would really appreciate that you reply in English and I may go back and forth.
Read moreWe haven't been for a while. The last time we had Zibo, my family and I, party of 4, was approximately a year ago and it wasn't the greatest. But we said let's give it a second chance, what a mistake! Well, where do I start. I called before showing up and the young lady tells me that they dont take reservation. No prob we decided to show up anyways. The lady at reception, ask us if we reserved and obviously I told her that I called and someone told us that they dont take any. She responded with "oh you are the 3rd person that tell me this tonight". Nonetheless, it took 15 minutes and we got seated, we were 4 peoples. Service started off ok until we told the waitress that we found the bread old. Oh boy!!! We opened a can of worms! Boy o boy did she ever give us attitude.... wow! I've been in the restaurant business since a little kid and I've never seen a waitress get insulted for BREAD. She tells us if theres something in life that she will argue on is Zibos bread, that it's always fresh. My wife, you has also been in the restaurant business for 20 years and comes from a family of renoun French cuisine Chef, told the waitress politely that we understand and know exactly how they work with the bread system and that it might be that some other tables bread where re-trown in the warmer. The waitress literally went on the back and came back with 2 breads IN HER BARE HANDS and slept it in front of us yelling "YOU SEE THE BREAD IS FRESH". We where 4 people ordered 4 entrees, 4 main dishes, a bottle of wine a few soft drink, a hefty bill... sad to say she never came back to see us, we had to serve our own wine, ask other staff members for drinks and stuff. All that for bread. I'm not saying that the clients are always right but in case she should of just nod and agree, we where nice from the get go because as i said I'm in this business for over 30 years. The only thing the waitress has for herself are her double D's, a big 0 for courtesy and respect for the clients. Theres a big prob with there...
