La Belle & La Boeuf - Burger Bar - Brossard DIX30 — Restaurant in Brossard

I reserved a whole week in advance for my daughter and her friends to celebrate my daughters birthday. Made it clear it will be minors coming in, they’re all vaccinated and will come with IDs. I reconfirmed the day of the reservation to make sure everything is ok, mom wanting to make sure the girls have a good time. My daughter had been looking forward to this for weeks since she had a great time at the st bruno location. The girls show up , the hostess gets impolite with them and insists that they need either a drivers license even though I had mentioned all girls were younger or Medicare card with their proof of vaccine. The girls had all come prepared with school ID that comes with a photo but for some reason this restaurant decided to make its own rules and say this wasn’t good enough.. even though on the Governmant website which I have Checked ..the hostess rudely tells the girls “ mais appelé ta maman les filles pour les IDs” belittling them. I’m stuck on a traffic light so couldn’t rush to help the girls but called the restaurant letting them know we very often go to way more expensive restaurants and no location has said only Medicare card is only accepted proof of ID for vaccine..they eventually let the girls in like they’re doing them a favor , had it not been my daughters birthday I would have insisted they leave right away .. the restaurant really ruined the birthday experience and I can say for sure I will never go back there mainly because they took advantage of younger girls and treated them with arrogance and were quite rude impolite to them, mainly the hostesses ( I was told a blond and another dark haired one).. we went to the keg downtown today and I specifically asked them what ID they request from minors and they said whatever ID works .. please stop making up your own rules and if you didn’t want minors to show up, you could have just said so upon reservation.. and make sure a hostess that is hired knows how to make clients feel welcome and wanted .. not only will we never go here again, all my daughters friends and their extended network will not go there again .. word of...

We decided to try this restaurant while shopping at DIX30 for my nieces birthday, our decision was based off the raging reviews.

We ordered the shareable beeeeef platter, mac&cheese, the grilled cheese and fried KitKat.

The platter came with 3 sliders, 3 mini pogos, 6 wings, onion rings and chili cheese fries, I will start with the positive for this item : the sliders were good and the onion rings and pogos were acceptable. Now that being said, the chicken wings tasted horrid, literally tasted like what 'old left out too long' chicken smells. The chili cheese fries were absolutely disgusting, the fries were dry, like yesterday reheated fries, the 'chili' was tasteless, the whole thing was mush with grated cheese on top.

The mac&cheese was an under seasoned soup of cheese with pasta, my niece, whose primary food source is mac&cheese took a bite and refused to eat any more of it.

The grilled cheese was adequate but served with the same 'yesterday' old dry fries, it also included a mug of tomato soup which had a thick layer of clump formed at the surface and discouraged us from consuming it.

As for service, our waitress was less than enthusiastic, not rude but not far from it, we were never offered a refill of water or the other beverages we had ordered, nothing was offered for the horrendous chili cheese fries, the bill was paid for and barely received a farewell.

We have been coming to this restaurant for. along time (im in love with the pulled pork mac n cheese). The food I always feel is fresh, fast and delicious. So, 5 stars there. But i also want to make mention that i find good service harder and harder to come by these days. As an ex food service industry worker, I really appreciate staff that make an effort.

At the dix30 location, we have had the absolute best service ive had since being in Canada. The wait staff are extremely friendly, attentive and informative. The last two times we have been, we have had Steve, and he clearly knows the ins and outs of his menu. He has good energy, interacted with both us and our kids with smiles, and we never sat waiting for anything. *At one point our son spilled a water and literally Steve and another waitress (wish I knew her name!) were there with napkins and assistance almost before I noticed haha They are always a step ahead but also give us the space to eat and relax without feeling pressured to eat and run. Thats a tough balance sometimes!

I wanted to make sure to get a review out there because Steve and the other staff have made our last couple of trips really enjoyable. And that can really make a difference on whether or not you want to return. Thanks to them for making the place feel friendly, fun and catered to our needs.
