Came here for a holiday meal with 15 friends and we all had a good time. The food comes in two sizes: personal and family. The family pizza is enough for 2 to 3 people to share. It’s definitely more expensive than a takeout pizza joint, but well within budget for 2 to 3 people. Didn’t get a chance to try the family pasta since everybody wanted a different type.
As for the service, it was a little rude since we were all told to keep quiet so that the waiter (who said it was his first day ) could explain the menu to the table. Normally the weight staff would go to each end of the table to explain the menu instead of telling everybody to hush down and screaming at the top of their lungs to explain the menu. During ordering for drinks and for the meal, we all had to sit in our spots, so as to not confuse the waiter. When time came for the bill almost everyone’s bill was wrong. Some people had the wrong meal. Some people had the wrong drinks. Some people had extra drinks or extra meals and one even had a dish that nobody at the table even ordered.
Overall, the food was pleasantly good and we all came here to talk about the past year since we’ve seen each other. We all came to have some good food, a couple of drinks and to have a nice meal with friends and I would say at Monza this was mission accomplished.
I would definitely come back to try other dishes. I chalk up the service to be an...
Read moreWe had a birthdays celebration yesterday, I am used to this restaurant i have been here at dix30 couple of times and also in downtown Montreal, each time I enjoyed so much that I asked all my family to go there we were 9 people and it was the worst food ever we had. So disappointing, Like literally the most tasteless food ever, we had 5 sandwiches 4 chicken and one steak uncooked (horrible) no taste. I had my favourite chicken fettuccine pasta (I go crazy over that usually but the pasta was not well cooked and taste was meh 🫤) I didn’t complain since the first tjme we had chicken sandwich with bacon which we weren’t aware that it was mentioned in the menu so they change, so not to bother the waitress, I kept quiet.
The chicken pizza wasn’t the usual crunchy tasty one. So I think overall that is off my list of favourite restaurants from now on specially at dix30.
I really wanted for my parents and rest of family to enjoy since it was specifically my mom’s birthday and other birthdays in later in march, but such a shame.
I know in restaurants usually if the cook/chef changes then the reputation of the restaurant is at their hand.
Anyways one of the photo i could share where we see the food not...
Read moreNice atmosphere! A busy Friday night here demands a reservation if you want a table between 7pm and 9pm. Our server was very nice, accommodating to our needs in perfect English as well as French. The food is really the highlight: the gnocchi with mushrooms on a truffle sauce is amazing, the pizza’s are made fresh to order on a thin crust with high quality ingredients made in a massive oven in everyone’s view. Try the very good tartare salmon or tuna (depending on the day’s availability) is fresh, with a little bit of a kick. The fettuccine gamberi was made with a garlic butter sauce and good sized shrimps, served with grated Parmesan cheese and it was a “cozy” dish. The only two “disappointments” were the home made fries, which were a bit undercooked. And the steak with shrimp dish, which although the sides were “spot on” the steak was very chewy/sinewy and a good part of the 8oz cut was wasted. A concise but well crafted wine list offers guests affordable options as well as exuberant Italian classics. I recommend this restaurant both to a family dinner as well as a more romantic encounter. But make sure to reserve your table ahead of time on the more demanded time periods or the wait...
