first time at vui and it was a great experience! we were two people that came for lunch and ordered the iced coffee with taro and coconut ($8), as well as the grilled chicken, lemongrass + imperial roll dish (24), and the tofu and vegetables pho ($17).
i highly recommend everything! the food and drink were delicious and the portions were generous.
the ambiance was beautiful, i loved the display of hanging rice hats and the washrooms were clean.
i took off one star because: there was only 1 server taking orders and it was hard to receive service, with long waits in between i had to get up to ask the dishwasher in the kitchen if we could have hoisin and sriracha sauce, which i was surprised about, as it didn't come with our pho and wasn't readily available on the table, and our server hadn't come by the prices are high considering the cost of the dishes ordered in consideration of it being a vietnamese restaurant
overall I'd return keeping in mind the service and cost...
Read moreThere were so many things I wanted to try out but each item was quite expensive, around 20-30$. So, if possible, it would be nice to be in a large group and just order various plates to try out more items in their menu. The food itself was great. The flavours were on point and the toppings were a great addition in flavours. The soup was clear and flavourful which made the noodles taste great in return. I wasn't a big fan of their fried ice cream however. The crust was too thick and it was pretty basic in my opinion. The portion was acceptable. Considering that the Pho Vui was 28$ before tax and tips, the portion was decent but I could have definitely eaten more, especially for 28$ a bowl. The pho is served with a large beef rib though so I guess it's a reasonable price. I would still say it's a bit more on the expensive side though. The service was great as well. Even though the waiters seemed a bit shy, they were quite friendly, patient and...
Read moreI was in Brossard that day on a gloomy day, I was craving for a big bowl of vietnamese Pho. I searched for it and this place came out and caught my eyes with the good reviews and the interior ( I am a huge sucker for beautiful interior, makes me enjoy food better in a way)
Yes indeed my pho noodle bowl was better than expected. the broth was made with love, plenty of meat, fresh vegetables.
the spring rolls were so fresh, the crunchiness of the lettuces, the shrimp were juicy, the rice wrap was just right.
the time we got there was around 5pm, it was pretty quiet at the beginning, then once we started eating it suddenly people started come in non stop.
A little bummed out, because we ate so fast and was about to leave, but our waiter kept disapearing and we end up waiting for a good 15min to catch his eyes so we can have our bill.
Anyhow definitely recommend, I will go back to try other dishes since they have a huge variety...
