Not what I was expecting despite the hype from the filipino community. Went there at 11am one weekend and they didn't have any food cooked/ready. What is the point of opening up at 11am. Don't open at a time where you don't have food ready.
Everyone seems to enjoy the boodle fight, perhaps thats because they have to call ahead to ensure there is food. Other than that, rating this as worse as the Adobe Queen in Hamilton.
UPDATE IN RESPONSE TO OWNER: Actually its not a hate opinion just a criticism. If you can't accept the opinion of a consumer, then you should revisit your business practice. Would've given this another try though now from your response, definitely not. Then open at 1130am instead of 11am. Jeez hahaha. Relax....
Secondly to attack my name is hillarious. You must be the one who has hate running in your veins. I've eaten at all different types of cusines, not a racist bigot as you seem to be.
Mabuhay din sayu and wish you a better new year to overcome this hatred. Learn to take some criticism po. Especially pg matanda ka na mas tatanda ka pa.
By the way, ensure your response has some intellectual meaning and fix up your grammer before using such mundane cap locks to bloat your anger.

Read moreFinally, a fantastic, authentic Filipino dine-in/take out place within the Halton & Hamilton area! We decided to try Mikaela’s in person as my partner orders their empanadas every week from a coworker who regularly orders from here too. Dang, this restaurant did not disappoint! We ordered the Bilao Family Meal—a meal meant to serve 4 to 6 people when in fact, the generous size portion at Mikaela’s would realistically feed 6 people, minimum. Because we wanted to try so much more, we also got the lechon kawali (masarap!) and sisig (my all-time favourite Filipino dish) which they served hot on a sizzling plate with a freshly cracked egg—the only way sisig should be served! The restaurant is so beautifully decorated and gives such a “homey” vibe. And the service? No words; they truly make you feel like family 🥰 We got buko pandan to go and let me tell you, I savoured every bite. We went with 2 of our good friends who are newer to Filipino food, and they could not stop raving about it. We can’t wait to come back and try their other dishes! Advance apologies to my...
Read moreDon’t be fooled by the restaurant’s hidden location, unassuming appearance and small size. Upon entering, I felt a sense of warmth from the colourful decorations and wooden tables. But most of all, it was the hospitality that touched me! If you’re looking for a combination of visiting a store run by your favourite auntie or grandma (the staff treated me as if I were their family!!), mouth-watering food (with a perfect balance of flavours, not too strong), big portions (the generous scoops felt like my mom trying to feed me as much food as possible for fear of me starving), and, in this age of inflation, amazingly affordable prices, then please LOOK NO FURTHER! I was so genuinely touched by the hospitality here. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. It was only my second time having Filipino food and I loved it so much, I just can’t wait to come back.
P.S. They can make special kinds of food for you, just call in advance! Next time, I’d love to try the...
