Honestly, there is A LOT wrong with this location. Hopefully the manager working this evening (Jan 25th 9:30pm) is addressed about this situation.
I had placed a mobile order for pick up, and then walked in 5minutes later assuming it would be done soon. I walk in, tell them i’m there for mobile pick up and to my surprise they hadn’t even started the order. It wasn’t busy, there was no other customers and no one in the drive through. I waited 15 more minutes for my order, which was only a few burgers and a few fries. I then asked the manager politely, “i’m just curious, when someone places a mobile order, do you have to wait for them the arrive to make it?” and he then told me if you select a pick up time, they don’t see the order until then, but when you select the ASAP option, they see it immediately, which I had selected the ASAP option, only to receive my order 20min after ordering it. The manager even told me the time that they received the order and the exact amount of time it took for them to make it (he even acknowledged himself that it took very long with no explanation), and then proceeded to tell me that uber drivers often get mad because they have to wait for them all the time. Clearly, this is an issue with their ability to make fast food, fast.
You would think, well maybe if it took this long, all of the food is at least fresh? Nope. not at all. Stale, over cooked fries that they clearly just put back in the fryer to warm up. Our burgers were also dry, crumbled burger patties.
While my first exchange with the manager was fine, after my Fiancée and I sat and started to eat our food, we could clearly hear the manager complaining about me asking what the policy is with mobile orders to all of the other employees, then, once he noticed us looking at him, while we we’re honestly surprised that someone would complain about us asking a question, he then started to speak another language we don’t know to his coworkers while still making it obvious he was speaking about us.
While we ate, they started to clean up the dining room in preparation for closing, which clearly was the first time they had all day because it was so filthy. We then noticed that the manager was staying around the front of the store, watching us while speaking to another staff (again in a language we don’t know) who was changing the garbages. Again, it seemed as if they were talking about us.
Lastly, when we started to grab our garbage to clean up and leave, once the manager saw us standing, he came into the dinning room, stood basically right behind us as we tossed our garbage out and made it feel as if he was “walking us out” Again, a very odd situation and feeling.
Clearly, the customer service, attitude, food, cleanliness, and really everything overall at this location needs some serious attention and assistance. It’s unfortunate to see a manager like this as he is teaching others to act and...
Read moreThis Wendy's was under construction all year and recently opened up again. It looks very nice and updated. We dined in on a week night, late but with a fair amount of time before close. the restaurant was empty. the server taking our order seemed bothered when we asked if the drink was included in the coupon we used. While waiting for our order, we noticed NOT ONE person out of 5 employees, including what looked to be the manager but was preparing food, was wearing gloves. The person who looked like a manager had medium length blonde hair in a very disheveled ponytail, and no hairnet. This person was directly in contact and working over the food and counters, and you could see hair hanging down around their face. All workers touched our food with their bare hands, I saw someone's nail dig into a pickle and swirl it around a bun held in their full bare hand. When I asked about gloves, the worker at the counter was very defensive, saying they personally didn't assemble it. I mentioned I can see everyone who assembled the food, (food is prepared in plain sight of the counter) and they even tried to gaslight me by saying they were wearing gloves or they usually do. I was shocked that he would try to tell me they were wearing gloves when you can clearly see no one was. I made sure my complaint was loud enough for the manager to hear me and they didn't even look my way or try to address my issue, just continued preparing food. When it was obvious they were wrong, the worker I spoke to said "sorry", and handed me the food. Yum.
If I was more of a nitpicker, I wouldn't have eaten the food, but I understand the fast food reality and I don't have a strong spine to be fighting to get my food remade in a more sanitary manner.
To top it all off, the fancy custom fountain drink machine didn't work, and no one working made an effort to address this or fix it afterwards. An off-duty employee who happened to be sitting nearby made sure I was helped when she noticed I was struggling.
Overall, I wont be coming back to...
Read moreReviewing a place like Wendy’s isn’t easy because let’s face that we’ve all been to Wendy’s, right? So I’ll tell you when I like and I dislike about Wendy’s in general.
What I like : I should change that to what I love. Their drink dispenser. I love finding different combinations of flavors. It just makes the whole experience more fun and more interesting. I have walked out of a Wendy’s because they didn’t have that fancy drink dispenser and gone to one that did I like it so much. I also like their side dish options. Say what you want about their chilli, but it’s darn good. Sometimes when I’m not that hungry, I’ll just order a baked potato and a chilli and be completely satisfied. This particular time I ordered their asiago chicken spicy with a side chilli and enjoyed it. The flavours blend quite well together. Also, I never feel overly full after eating at Wendy’s. I think their portions are just right.
What I don’t like about Wendy’s: Their fries. To put that into perspective, there aren’t many fast food places where I really do like their fries. My bare minimum for liking fries is chip wagon style fries. To me anything else is bland and boring. Fortunately, I’m not stuck with ordering fries at Wendy’s as I always get the previously mentioned chili. Another negative against Wendy’s is the difference between the pictures of their food and how it actually comes out. Only Arby’s rivals Wendy’s in exaggerating the contents between two buns. Ever order the mushroom melt? Sometimes the top bun and bottom bun look like they’re touching. But not in that delicious looking photo they don’t.
With all that being said, I find the positives outweigh the negatives and I will keep coming back to Wendy’s when I feel like getting my fast fast food fix (until we get a 5 guys closer), or I just...
