A&W Canada — Restaurant in Burnaby

I am reporting to better business bureau against the policy of this business where employees are not allowed to provide the contact information of supervisor/ Manager to the customer upon request for the purpose of providing feedback. I am uber Driver coming to this location very often on weekends. All girls are very nice and also allow me to use the washroom, except one employee name Muskan. I noticed few times her behaviour rude and bossy not towards customers but also towards her coworkers. Last night, when I reached this location. She was cleaning the washroom and said to me that I can't use the washroom. I politely told her that I am just washing my hands on the tap outside washroom. I told her that I will get the burger and will eat here. By the time if she finished cleaning, then I will use the washroom later on. At that moment she didn't say no. But when later I requested to use the washroom. She changed excuses and finally said it is their policy not to allow washroom after 11 pm. I asked politely when policy changed as I use the washroom all the times and all other girls allow me to use? Then she said it's ok. I tried to clarify the meaning that I am ok to use now? She said no. Then I pointed out towards the Police Officer outside and said I can't do outside in the corner because of presence of Police Officer and requested her again to allow me to use the washroom on courtesy basis and told her it's emergency. She said no. I politely asked her the contact information of her manager. She said that information cannot be disclosed to the customer. I am Sharing this information to Government and media groups so that Government can do some arrangements for us because there is no place at night where an uber or Taxi Driver can use the washroom. When employees clean the washroom, after that they don't allow any one to use it because they don't want to...

Sometime around the end of May, A&W turned select locations of their stores into what they call A&W Brew Bars. At these A&W Brew Bars, you can get a variety of frozen beverages, including special blends of frozen root beer drinks that aren't offered at regular A&W stores.

We decided to pay a visit to our nearest A&W Brew Bar and see what the hype was about. The cups get filled at this special dispenser where you can see on the screen, what percentage of the cup has been filled. This was kind of fun to watch.

There's no denying that A&W makes very good root beer, so any kind of beverage with their root beer in it is bound to be tasty. All 3 of our drinks were yummy; the Root Beer Mocha Shake was the most unique.

While the drinks were tasty, it really felt like an overrated experience that really didn't merit the price tag attached to it. These were basically glorified Slushy drinks. Again, nothing wrong with the drinks. They were all tasty. But to us...considering how much they charged for the drinks, it didn't seem like very good value to us. There are many other places we'd prefer to go to for a slushy drink than A&W Brew Bar. Just our personal preference.

One of the best A&W locations I've ever been to! Coming into the establishment in the morning, the shop was bright since it has such big windows in the front.

The tables seemed cleaned and virtually untouched, as if the location was just opened, and it was beautifully quiet so I decided to dine in on a whim! The atmosphere is so warm and inviting.

The person who took my order gave me such a friendly smile, it made me feel welcome and at ease. They also gave me my coupon back after scanning it so I can save it for future use!

It was also a pleasant surprise to see a whiteboard of Manager Specials at the front counter where you can order! Wow, I have never seen this offered at an A&W before! I don't usually stray from my "usual" order, but it also made me curious about other options and more likely to try them since they're discounted.

My Mama burger was handed to me after what felt like a quick minute, and it wasn't messily slapped together like I've seen at other locations either. The sauce ratio was right, and they didn't overload it with a bunch of onions like other locations have done.

I am definitely coming here again based on the quick & friendly service, the cleanliness and welcoming atmosphere, and the specials!
