Great food. Great quality. Great service. Great prices. How?

Great food and great quality (based on what I ordered tonight) - every single dish including the side dishes tasted great. Food was fresh such as salads and kimichi. I had kimichi that was dark and not fresh somewhere else before. The grilled mackerel combo included the fish itself plus three side dishes, tofu soup with seafood and a bowl of rice. Everything tasted great that I really had no complaint about them. Also the calamari was crispy outside and chewy inside. Each piece of calamari was very big as well. Beer and calamari were a great combo.

Great service - this is a family business. The son of the owner helped out at the restaurant tonight. He is very young but he provided great service and he was super polite to all customers.

Great prices - all the dishes have very good deals in my eyes! I wouldn't spend my money at Jang Mo Jib if you want to eat Korean food (other than BBQ food). Food at Jang Mo Jib costs so much higher in general. The grilled mackerel combo had a bigger portion but it only cost me $13! If I ate exactly the same thing at Jang Mo Jib or other Korean restaurants, it would be more expensive for sure!!

I highly recommend friends and family to come here for Korean food (other than BBQ food) if you are on Kingsway. There is parking at the back of the restaurant and street parking as well. If you can eat good qualify of food at a cheaper price with great service, why not come here? The only thing that I deducted a star or some marks is the ambience, environment or interior design of the restaurant. It is not the greatest. It can...

This restaurant used to be a Vietnamese Pho place. A very good Korean restaurant, they gave a small parking lot, it is a bit of a challenge to get into the parking lot, otherwise you can park along the street. They have a pretty good menu, with appetizer menu to go along with beer. Besides their regular menu, they have a few specials that you will find in the wall. The one serving staff that they have is friendly & efficient. We chose to have the special which is tofu soup (choice of beef or seafood) with BBQ beef. Usually when you have a combo set, the tofu soup is a smaller portion. Not Masita, they give you the normal size, I chose the beef tofu soup, it has generous amount of beef & the egg is already in the soup, I like it that way as you do not have to crack the egg & have raw egg on your hands. The seafood tofu soup had a lot of small shrimps & squid. We asked for medium spicy, it was not spicy enough for us. If you like it spicy, ask for hot.. they will customize the soup, no spicy is call " white", mild, medium & spicy. They give you a bowl of rice & small dishes which is typical of a Korean restaurant. The beef was good & tender & comes in a sizzling hot plate. I highly recommend that you come & try... unpretentious, good ol Korean food. They speak English... so...

A decent Korean restaurant in this area of South Burnaby where ethnic cuisine options are limited. You will discover that the menu is simple and does not boast of an over-abundance of options which leaves one to wonder whether the restaurant is good at any particular style of food. You will find the traditional seafood pancake and fried glass noodles here along with tofu soup and certain appetizers. The pork hock dish was done well and the side dishes are flavourful. The portion to price ratio is also fairly reasonable. Although portion sizes are smaller than typical, the price point is also adjusted to reflect that. In turn, this allows you to try additional dishes to bring greater variety to your meal.

Masita is housed inside an old house turned restaurant, the only one standing out along a row of other shops and restaurants on Kingsway. Not much work was done to spruce up he decor, but the house setting brings about a home-style feel to this home-style Korean restaurant. A fitting combination.

Service was pleasant and the food was tasty. Parking is limited at the front of the restaurant and other food establishments in the area means street parking can be troublesome as well. However, street parking is free along this stretch of Kingsway aside from marked...
