Pho d'lite — Restaurant in Burnaby

(Go here if you want to be harassed about leaving a review) The server came to our table and wouldn’t leave till she saw us take photos and leave a review on google… She forced us to take pictures and wouldn’t leave till we posted. Best part was another table came in and she did the same thing. “Give us a review” the other table said they left a review. The server then came back out with her phone and said “No I can’t find your review.” She went through her phone to find if they actually left a real google review!!!!! This was insane!!!! This then made her upset. She didn’t leave these poor people alone till they left a real review. We will never be back again. My girlfriend and I just wanted a nice quiet dinner together. We did not think we’d would be having dinner with our server standing at our table the whole time looking over our shoulder. Having a giant neon hang up sign in the front door saying “Required to leave a google review” would be less tacky than the server interrogating us...

Went here a dozen times with friends... until I found shredded plastic mixed in with the spring rolls!!!! I was so disappointed...this was my go to spot!

I had ordered take out and it wasnt the first time. The food is great, but the grinded up plastic wrap found in 1 of the spring rolls ruined this place for me and my family.

Not taking any chances anymore. It has great bon bo hue and wings. Maybe just stick with things you can see that arent wrapped and mixed.

It's too bad. I went to this place many times and the owner has always been very nice. They really need to check on their spring rolls if they are ordered 3rd party or made in house. Dangerous! Too bad. Wont be going back after been there so many times. If I was there eating I would of told the owner, but I had ordered take out and wasn't in the shop. Hopefully they read this and get to the bottom of plastic mixed in the spring...

Interesting place... An older lady (possibly the owner) was the only waitress around. I ordered a pho chay (vegetarian pho). The broth was a unexpectedly sweet, but I still enjoyed all the flavours and toppings.

While I was eating, the waitress came out with some ingredients and was working on something in the seating area? Had the whole food tin out on a bench, no gloves on, even had her phone on the table. Not sure what she was doing, but it was clear that she was handling food. Seems unsanitary; this should be done in the kitchen and by following proper hygiene protocols for a restaurant.

There was an air of annoyance around her whenever she took orders. I felt like I was unwanted there haha.

If you want to take the risk and trust their hygiene practices, I would recommend getting your food to-go... such a shame since the interior...
