Came in at 9pm on Friday, Feb 21, 2025ā¦.2 hours before closing. No one was in the front, barely any lights were on, and the store looked closed. Inside, I was greeted by a hand sanitizer covered in dirt. So you know this place has good cleaning practices 𤢠The guy emerged from the back when I came in, obviously watching Netflix or something. Asked for the new tandoori twist or whatever itās called. The guy working there said okay then remembered he had been too lazy to cook the meatā¦..so initially he just said āNoā¦.you canāt order that oneā. When I inquired further he reluctantly admitted that I could only have that sandwich if I waited 20 minutes. He had a full 8 hour shift to cook the meat and have it ready to heat up for customers but was too lazy. I obviously didnāt want to wait so I ordered a different footlong plus 2 cookies and a drink. I paid for my order and then realized he didnāt ask me if I wanted a bag, and when I asked for oneā¦..he insisted I paid 25 cents. When I pointed out the fact that he was too lazy to cook the meat his entire shift so I could not get the sandwich I wanted and the nice thing to do would be to just give me a 25 cent bag for freeā¦..he started arguing with me that itās not his job to make sure ingredients are ready. Uhhhhhhhh excuse me? Thatās LITERALLY your job š¤£. Instead of watching Netflix in the back he should have been making sure all the ingredients are stocked and ready to use. Soā¦ā¦.if youāre the manager/franchise owner reading thisā¦ā¦if your employee had the common sense to provide good customer service and had done the simple gesture of giving me a 25 cent bag for free because I couldnāt get the sandwich I wanted because he was too lazy to do his jobā¦ā¦I would have been a repeat customer for years. Whatās worse is even while asking for extra, they are shy to give the food to you. It feels like youāre not paying for the food that is sold here but youāre stealing the staff food cause they dont want to give you food. It goes even bad, the counter woman asked me to pay before my sub was ready and then denied me that I canāt get avocado cause Iāve paid already. Did I ask to pay before? Extremely rude to deny someone food because you messed up. Untrained staff, and the girls working there could hear me properly but went blank when I told them on their face that did I ask to pay before? I order subway from many a locations but overall this subway has the lowest standards. The owner should feel disgusted and guilty for running a business where people pay to get food and they downsize it to itās maximum. I understand cost cutting could be important to a business but your untrained staff and the greediness will kill this business. Mark my words. You are doomed to run a business like this. Every single customer coming in is hating you and you wont stand for very long working like this. Change your portion sizes, train your staff and do business properly. Shame...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSlowest service I have ever gotten at a Subway. To start with, this one woman shouldn't have been running the place alone, stop cutting corners in your employees.
The woman herself had no sense of how to manage her time. It took almost fifteen minutes to process my boyfriend and I. Once she put his bread in to be toasted, she just stood there and waited, despite my boyfriend pointing out multiple times that I was waiting for her to start on my sandwich. In every other Subway I have been to, the employee would have the next bread ready to be put in to toast by the time the first bread came out.
When my bread was in to toast, I tried to speed my own process out by having her put my dozen cookies into their box but she completely ignored me. These may seem small things but they save the customer a lot of time, especially since we're usually trying to catch either the bus or the skytrain at this location. We barely made it out to catch our bus which comes every half hour.
Last thing I want to mention is the drink machines, which were out of 70-80% of their flavours. The pop I did manage to get out of it was completely watered down and entirely unsatisfying. This location needs to refill its syrups desperately.
All in all, the worst experience I've ever had...
