My mother and I went to this Restaurant and while purchasing the food my mom asked to use the washroom and they insisted that they do not allow customers to use the washroom because we didn't tip them, and because of 'covid', when just the other day she was allowed to. A moment after we paid we went next door to a Church's Chicken and used the washroom which then I paid for ten pieces of chicken wings, moments later after we received our food from Sushi Garden, about 4 hours or so I called Sushi Garden and asked the male representative if he or any of his employees had seen the bag of chicken wings we purchased next door and he said there was no sight of it or that anyone had seen our purchased food. My mom tells me that they've lied to us which was correct because when she tried calling them the rude female server told us that she had thrown it out when my mom contacted them in Korean and the female cashier kept using rude informal speech patterns of language towards my mother who is almost over sixty and talked in a format where she spoke as if they took no consideration about what happened to our hard earned income, then my mom asked to speak with the owner and guess who it turns out to be the same person that told me that there wasn't any item left behind and when she spoke with this man who wasn't the owner but the manager, he told us that they threw it out the moment we went back from the washroom of the Church's Chicken intentionally because of covid when my mom told him that wasn't right which they didn't even discuss to us that they had thrown the food while both of us went next door to use the restroom. The owner needs to hire proper employees and not these bags of garbage. I'd give these people a negative review if that was possible but i bet they would just go online and delete this thread anyway, these low-lives should learn some manners. They can eat the wings in the garbage together for all I care at this point. If negatives were enabled on reviews I'd give this review a...

I don’t really like to make a review for any place, even I will do it but just in Chinese. For this time, I want to do it in English. Firstly, all of the servers seemed really busy and no one say Hello to me when I just got in. There is a front table there but no one is standing behind and greeting customers, is ok to me because I worked for retail store which have to deal with customers all the time, I know why they are so busy. After 30s, one waiter lead me to my seat. I wait for like 30s because I did not see anyone bring me the menu, and I started to be curious what is going on, and then I see there is a little QR code on my left side, I knew that would be my menu. Menu is easy to read, do not have so much pic, but it is easy to understand. When I am ready to order, I still wait for 1min to have someone come by then she start with my order. I believe they are under staffed because everyone is so busy. Well, servers in there are behind average in English skills but is totally understandable, cause I am not a native speaker either and I totally understand they are struggling with English. As other reviewers said, they just want to order, eat, pay and go. The attitude of that male server is quite impolite, but the female sever is good, she even say goodbye to me when I leave, this is the first greeting word I heard in this store today. Overall, the food is ok, all of the foods are in a big quantity compared with price. Foods are not expensive here. However, it is not tasty, it is not fresh. If you want to find a sushi place with a cheap price and a large quantity, here should be a good choice. But if you want to find a good sushi place, rather go somewhere else. But I will still go if I want to find a cheap sushi restaurant just to...

Even though I don't always like their customer service, I have been going to this place for over 4 years, at least every 2 months. It's because this place is close to my home and has become my go-to sushi place. I find the prices affordable and the food is not bad.

However, one thing I want to mention is that they don't seem to care about customer service at all. I can't even count how many times I have visited this restaurant and I'm always irritated by the way they treat us. Most of the staff are rude and harsh towards customers. There is no greeting or smile, and I always feel unwelcome.

We visited around 8:30 pm, just 30 minutes before closing time. When we entered the store, they were just staring at us from the kitchen and didn't even ask us anything. We had to inquire if it was possible to dine-in at that time. I am sorry for the last-minute visit, but if they don't want customers around closing time, they should just let us know.

Regarding the food, it was okay except for the lettuce in the garden salad, which was very watery. I think they might not be using a salad spinner. I couldn't taste the dressing but water. After finishing the salad, there was about 1 cm of water at the bottom of the bowl.

We stayed until around 9:10-9:15, and they didn't push us to leave the store, which I appreciate but there was no acknowledgement from the staff when we paid or when we left. It felt like we were completely ignored 😅.

Despite the issues, I think I will still go to this place, but only for takeout from now on. I always end up regretting it when I dine in...

Update: still am excellent place to get budget friendly sushi. The high traffic volume ensures fresh products and consistency. Still a place that I like to drop by and grab a couple rolls. I have been here many times throughout the years since they first expanded from their original location near Metrotown Metropolis. Sushi Garden fills in a niche that is popular in Vancouver: low cost non-authentic sushi made by non-Japanese people. They are usually run by Koreans, Chinese, Vietnamese, etc. With that said, within this category, Sushi Garden is a dominant player. They provide exactly what the customer is looking for: fresh inexpensive sushi, usually in larger sizes that feel like you got a bang for your buck! We come here regularly for those reasons and for that, we are always satisfied. We normally go for their dynamite rolls, chopped scallop rolls, spicy tuna rolls, salmon sashimi, Toro sashimi, seafood salad, and house rolls. Those items have never let us down. We try to avoid the dinner eating time as they are packed. We do take out to avoid that issue and to save time. Definitely a nice addition to the neighborhood.

ありがとう !! A successful second visit at my second Sushi Garden location! As always from my experience with them, a huge dining area with very efficient service dicing up tasty grub as well as ginormous fat portions, freshly stuffed rolls among wholesome and plentiful sashimi cuts are their key to consistency which is a great experience at good value for money. Menu caters well for many different tastebuds and showcases a mix of hot and cold options for veggies, pescatarians and meat eaters with some edgy and quirky roll infusions. Note, there is no brown rice option at this location. The tea unfortunately was on the weak side. It'd also be awesome if they had lunchtime deals or even Bento options to mix things up. I ended up on the Dynamite Combo with Edamame 枝 which was enough for one person. However, thumbs up would visit again in a heartbeat and chowed down every last bite of that grub with a huge grin on my face. Solid location with plenty of parking and walking distance from the mall makes this a solid go-to option. アダム
