Mohan Dhabba — Restaurant in Caledon

My team and I visited The Mohan Dhabba food truck for lunch. We were tired of the usual McDonald’s and A&W drive thrus...So we thought we would go for some flavour. It was serendipitous. We ordered several veggie and non-veggie lunch combos, a meat platter, and fried fish that tasted wonderfully paired with the chefs special chutney sauce. The goat was cooked tender and my boss won’t stop raving about the butter chicken in rich sauce, the full size samosas and warm yet crispy tandoori naan. The chicken wrap was delicious. All the dishes were flavorful in their own way. The price was reasonable and lunch was quickly prepared by the friendly owner Pal. staff was very pleasant and you can tell their was a passion behind the food they were serving. The food truck looked and smelled clean. A definite return visit will be made; this time hopefully they will have a store front as I would love to take my family for a dining experience! UPDATE** I found myself in Bolton for business this weekend and to say I was more excited visiting Mohan Dhabba this time than meeting my colleagues would be an understatement. When I last visited this family was working out of a food truck and now seeing this family work so hard and achieve their dreams of opening a brick and mortar location in Bolton. It was busy during lunch so make sure to pre-order or call ahead for pick-up. I had the staples again and they tasted even better than before. The chef told us because of the new kitchen he is able to do a lot more with this dishes. Please be sure to visit and support this Family Indo-Canadian ran business! I also heard they will be sponsoring events in the community so what other reason do you need to...

** Edited 1/6/21: Ordered Matar Paneer again after work in liu of my coveted dish and... It was amazing! For less than 20$ we got a FULL FULL FULL standard round takeout container of deliciousness, a totally adequate container stuffed full of perfectly cooked rice, and two large naan that were absolute heaven. Everything was on point and spiced just right. You absolutely cannot go wrong here, and I'm excited for the restaurant that's coming soon. I'm very happy with the value and QUALITY for money, which I don't feel is comparable with other nearby options, currently.*

I stopped on my way home this evening and ordered Matar Paneer (I was hoping for Malai Kofta, but hopefully next time.)

In any case - what a great decision it was to give Mohan Dhabba a try! The food was ready in less than 10 minutes and the Matar Paneer is some of the best I've tasted, all fresh ingredients, rich but without any oil floating on top, delicious paneer, and a perfect amount of flavorful heat. I would say it's "medium spicy" (which is highly subjective, of course. I know people who find tomato too spicy. 😂)

As for sides - the rice was cooked perfectly, and the made to order naan bread is tender AND crispy. (I should have ordered a second naan. Live and learn.)

The generous portions are very reasonably priced for the quality of the food, I would absolutely recommend trying them based on this visit.

From the very beginning, Mohan Dhabba and their team went above and beyond to ensure the success of our event. Their level of commitment and professionalism was truly remarkable. Despite catering for over 125 people, they flawlessly managed every aspect of the food service, demonstrating their remarkable skill and efficiency.

The food itself was simply amazing. Each dish was so flavourful and freshly made. The guests couldn't resist going back for seconds, and even thirds! The quality and taste of the food left a lasting impression on everyone, and we are still getting inquiries and compliments about it. They are definitely big reason for success of our event.

What stood out the most was the team's extraordinary level of accommodation and attentiveness. They took care of every detail, from freshness to the display. Their dedication was truly commendable. Not only was the food outstanding, but the service was also delivered with utmost kindness and warmth.
