4th Spot Kitchen & Bar is a western restaurant that specializes in serving pub style food with a little Italian flavor. A majority of the food is akin to items found on a pub menu. Such as wings, shareable food, burgers and more. They have a few more Italian choices, like pasta and pizza. While this is a bar, families and children are allowed to dine (as it is also a restaurant).
The location can seem a little daunting. On the front, it appears that there is little to no parking. However, if you pull to the back of the restaurant, there is a decent amount of parking.
The exterior of the restaurant makes the building appear small. Which gives off a small local feeling. However, the inside is much bigger than expected. Allowing for many customers to dine. The decor is simple. Giving a restaurant / pub feel.
The food was great. The plate of the pasta was large, which made the portions seem smaller than they actually were. The pasta noodles were properly cooked, not too soft or too hard. The sauce was well made. It did not feel too heavy or too rich. The pasta could of used a little more meat.
The burger was juicy and well cooked. The patty was thick, allowing for an eater to enjoy a nice big bite. The bread was nicely toasted. There was an egg added to the burger. Allowing for the egg yolk to give the burger a whole new flavor. Allowing for the meat to become even juicier with each bite. Along with the burger there was a side of pasta. It wasn't anything special and lacked a bit of flavor.
The service was great. The servers came by often and were very willing to chat. They are helpful with the menu. The food did take some time to come out. So if you are in a rush, this will most likely not be the best place to dine. The price for the food is slightly more expensive then your average western restaurant. However, this is also a bar, making the prices similar to one.
4th Spot Kitchen & Bar is a great place to go for a pub style restaurant. They provide a variety of dishes and the quality of the food is great. However, be prepared to pay a little more than your...
Read moreI've visited 4th Spot multiple times over the last 5+ years. My last 2 experiences are the reason I will not be coming back and I would never recommend 4th Spot again.
The 2nd last time I visited we were seated and ordered our food. Another couple were seated next to us shortly after. It took over 45 mins to get our food. It wasn't very busy so I'm assuming they were short staffed in the kitchen that day. It's never taken that long for the food to come. The couple next to us had to leave, as well. By the time their food came out, they had to pack it all up and leave. We weren't even hungry anymore at that point. We still tipped our usual 20%.
I visited yesterday. We ordered burgers which are SO much more expensive than they are worth. The buns on our burgers were essentially frozen when they were served to us. Look, I understand you guys use frozen food, but I would appreciate you knowing how properly serve the frozen food. The buns were COLD to the touch I am shocked they served these to us. Our waitress didn't come back and didn't look at us at all. We decided to just eat the food and not complain, and over halfway through our meal she came in to check on us. I told her about the bun being frozen and she offered to bring me a toasted bun. I took it even though typically waitresses come in to check in on you right after the first few bites. No discount was offered, absolutely nothing. We still tipped 15% but it was not worth it. Was very close to not tipping, especially if it was going to the kitchen staff who don't know how to use a toaster. Also their fries are the worst - so soggy and flimsy.
This place is so overpriced now and not worth it. Not sure if there was a change in management over the years, but it used to be our favourite burger spot. Will not be going back due to the lack of service and...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I frequent this place I'd say once a month or so, it's our "date night" spot. We rave about it to our friends and it's become a favourite for many of us. Once a year in December we plan a family dinner for everyone to get together around the holidays and this year we wanted to share a place we love with our family. About a month ago we made a reservation for their private room so we could have our family gathering. My boyfriend spoke to whoever the lady is who coordinates the reservations over the phone, and all was good. We showed up last night about 6:15 pm, reservation was for 6:30 pm. I asked my boyfriend as we walked through the door if he had called to confirm, he hadn't. Why should he? Is what he thought. There was a sign up front about their Christmas market featured in the room behind the lounge.. Mildly concerning as that's their only private room. When we told the hostess we were here for our reservation, you could see the look of worry on her face as she said she'd be right back and went off to get a manager. Turns out they had double booked the room. Soon enough there were going to be 13 of us expecting to sit down to have dinner. We didn't know what we were going to do, but the manager accepted the fault and made it happen. They shut down their Christmas market for us. Within 15 minutes we had a lovely table set up, our server Olivia was on the ball. Couple of drinks comped and they gave us free dessert. I understand "these things happen". I knocked off a star because of the error. I will continue to love this place and come for date nights and dinner with friends. Their food is delicious, customer service is superb. We had a lovely evening, everyone enjoyed their food and drinks and now we have another memory in the banks for our annual holiday...
