You want some noods? Like…fresh noods? Hot, steamy noods? This place is for you. They hand pull all your noodles fresh to order and boast amazingly authentic flavour. They have soup/broth based noodles and delicious stir fried noodles and also offer both vegan/vegetarian options. Whenever I’m craving a perfect noodle, this is where I go. I’m never disappointed with the quality, freshness and flavour of the food, the staff are all really nice and the restaurant is clean and well tended. There’s parking in the front of the shop as well as street parking options available (if for some weird reason there’s none in front). The bathrooms are also clean which is a big deal for me. I find myself coming back here again and again and I don’t imagine I’ll ever stop. If I have a noodle craving, this is the only place that will actually satisfy it, and I’ve been to a LOT of noodle joints lol. I would highly recommend dining in if you can as the noodles are at their peak when they are fresh from the kitchen. The texture, chew and bounce is really something you will crave again, and again, and again, and again…..annnnnnnd again. Try it, trust me, you’re gonna love it. And to those who say the soup/broth is under seasoned, they are more than happy to provide soy sauce to adjust the seasoning to your individual tastes. Not everyone has the same salt requirements and it’s perfectly ok to ask them for salt or soy sauce to season your broth to your liking. It’s your food at the end of the day, season it the...
Read moreBefore my trip back to Vancouver, my boyfriend took me to Calan Beef Noodle Restaurant in North part of Calgary. We had an early dinner at this place. Calan Beef Noodle was the first handmade noodle Restaurant in Calgary. It’s a small Chinese Restaurant. There are no many tables in this restaurant. We arrived the restaurant around 4:30. This place was very full. We had to wait for while to get a table.
After we sat down, we began to order our food. My boyfriend had HAND-PULLED NOODLES IN BEEF SOUP, which is $10.99. I ordered CALAN SPECIAL POTATO NOODLE IN SPICY SAUCE, which is the same price as the beef soup noodles $10.99. In addition, I also ordered Egg and Beef dish sides. After we ordered all the food, we had to wait for 10 – 15 mins for our food. Finally, our food came out the kitchen. They were all well cooked and fresh. Each noodle bowl has its own flavors. The noodles tasted very delicious and fresh. Both of noodle bowls were in huge portions, which were totally worth the prices. We had very great time there. When we finished our meal, we could just leave the empty bowls on the table. The servers gotta clean up for us. In summary, we had a great experience in...

We recently took my sister, her husband, and their two kids to Calan Beef Noodle House to introduce them to the magic of hand-pulled noodles—and once again, this spot delivered beyond expectations.
We ordered a variety of dishes, including braised beef noodles, cumin lamb noodles, seafood noodles, chili oil noodles with vegetables, house tea, sesame balls, and steamed buns. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and served piping hot. The chili oil noodles had just the right amount of heat, and the house tea was honestly the best I’ve ever had in any Asian restaurant—an absolute must-try.
The noodles, hand-pulled right in front of you, were cooked to perfection and tailored exactly to our preferences. Even the kids, who are notoriously picky eaters, cleaned their plates—a true testament to how good the food was.
While the decor is a bit outdated, it fades into the background when the food is this good. The service was attentive, and you can tell the kitchen staff take immense pride in their craft.
If you’re a noodle lover or just someone who appreciates fresh, authentic flavors, Calan Beef Noodle House is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be...
