If you're looking for a fast food spot that actually makes you feel good about your choices, A&W is a top contender. Whether it’s a quick breakfast on the go, a satisfying burger meal, or a treat-yourself moment with a root beer float, A&W hits the mark across the board.
Burgers: The beef is grass-fed and hormone-free, which is a game changer. You can actually taste the quality. The Teen Burger is a classic done right — juicy, well-balanced, and satisfying without being greasy. The Beyond Meat Burger is also one of the best plant-based options in fast food — hearty, flavorful, and not overly processed.
Fries & Sides: Crispy, golden perfection. The sweet potato fries are another level — especially with chipotle mayo. Onion rings? Crunchy, flavorful, and not overly oily. Portion sizes are generous without going overboard.
Breakfast: Surprisingly good. Real eggs, freshly toasted English muffins, and that same quality meat — not your usual soggy drive-thru disappointment. The Bacon & Egger is my go-to.
Drinks: The root beer is legendary. Served in a frosty mug when you dine in — creamy, cold, and iconic. No caffeine, which makes it family-friendly too.
Healthier Options: This is where A&W really shines compared to other fast food chains. No artificial flavors, no preservatives in many items, and transparency in their sourcing. You can eat here without the post-meal regret.
Service & Atmosphere: Clean, calm, and inviting. Staff are usually friendly and the food comes out fresh and quick. It feels more relaxed than most fast food chains, and locations are often...
Read moreThree of us went in, and one person paid for the order, I was last to order.
All I got was a medium coffee with two cream, and five chicken strips.
The person looked at me and visually I can see them press something on the computer…..
I receive my coffee with the other drinks and received a large double double, few minutes went by and I requested another coffee explaining I ordered a medium two cream and said “ this one has sugar, that’s the wrong coffee, “ she asked me “ two cream and how many sugar ? “ again…. I’m explaining to her that I don’t want sugar for the third time.
I got another coffee and it’s the right coffee but wrong size. I asked for a med and she still gave me a large….
The boys get their food, they eat and I’m still waiting for 5 chicken strips. One of the ladies looked at me and said “ are you waiting for something ?”
My reply “ yes 5 chicken strips” one of them promptly starts looking at the screen, very obviously confused. Proceeds to tell us there are no chicken strips.
I grab the receipt and look and the lady who took our group order ( so it’s one order ) never charged us for the chicken strips…. At this point, all three woman are standing at the front counter all extremely confused. ( including the one that took the order)
I speak clearly ordering at places to make sure it’s understood but listening skills are below average, and lack of focus is intolerable. Disorganized, and lack of communication.
I don’t ask for much when it comes to fast food. Because it’s almost not worth getting but this place...
Read moreI went in to order lunch for my family today. I ordered a chicken burger on a lettuce wrap, a few kids meals and a habanero chicken burger. When we got home, we had a hamburger with onions on a lettuce wrap. My mother doesn’t eat beef. So i called, told them and said I was going to come back and exchange it for what I ordered. The man that i spoke to on the phone was incredibly rude. When i arrived, they hadn’t made it. I asked him again to make it for me as I’d paid for it and drove back, though it’s not a far drive, still inconvenient to come back. He then proceeded to ARGUE with me about what i ordered.. and just stood there.. literally arguing with me that it’s my fault. He then pointed to the screen where they ring in the food and told me “you should check your order to make sure it’s right”
The customer service i received today was the WORST. I am local to auburn bay and want to support to owner who is also local to auburn bay, but next time I will be making the drive to 130th. Mistakes happen.. but how a restaurant deals with the issue is what matters.
We own a company and often order large lunches for our staff on the weekends. I will never order again from them. I’d give them 0 stars if it...
