Well, this is an update several years later to say I would reduce my review to a two or three-star based on my last couple of experiences, and how disappointing this is to share.
Half Village Greek salad has the most pathetically sized "slab" of feta on it compared to before and certainly not in proportion to the vegetables. Tomatoes mushy and underripe. Dressing isn't as flavourful. Souvlaki really varies on if it's completely overcooked or just kind of dry.
It reeks of cutting corners and much less care in the product. I am disappointed and likely will not order from here any longer. Super sad about it.
THIS IS MY OLDER AND ORIGINAL REVIEW WHEN IT WAS BETTER.
I wanted to call them and rave, but they were closed by the time I finished eating. People will think I'm weird, but that's OK — how many of us have had awful takeout experiences on Skip the past couple of years over the pandemic? I started eating my order from Paros tonight and ridiculously, tears began streaming down my face. I was so grateful to have fresh, warm, delicious food that hit every note right on the flavour profile. The minute I brought it into my house could smell the garlic and lemon. The souvlaki skewers were seasoned perfectly, tender and moist (sorry), the pita bread still warm and fresh, the hummus and tzatziki were out of this world delicious and generous, and the half Greek salad I ordered was loaded with crisp veggies, good tomatoes, oil and herb dressing, and a delicious slab of feta on top with good olive oil and herbs. This meal was as good as it would have been in the restaurant. And I have enough for another meal tomorrow. I'll be going in to dine for sure. So happy to have a fantastic addition to the deep SE, where really good food is...
Read moreIt was our first time trying this restaurant in our community of Mahogany and it was excellent food, our kid first time trying Greek food as well and it hit the spot.
You can now eat in, take out, order pickup. (delivery service do not know).
My review it's base on take out, service was excellent the girl at the front took her time and patience explaining the menu to us and recommendations. The turnaround from when the order was placed and when it was ready for us was fast, at that particular time was dinner time there was other families siting to eat in and people wating to take out and for what I saw they are fast polite clean service.
Now to the food part, we order the kids menue a pork gyro meat gyro with French fries in IT WOW!! The flavors the tenderness of the meats are on point. Had a salad that was excellent fresh cheese great dressing. And had a side of the medium calamari and it was the best ever the calamari had a really good seasoning was not over cooked so it was not like bitting on a pair of shoes.
I do recommend for you and your family to try it. We will be...
Read moreI have ordered from Paros a handful of times now - I wanted to give them a fair chance before finally writing a review. Tonight I ordered the gyro wrap and a side of lemon potatoes, and I will not be ordering again.
The gyro wrap was simply okay, but barely. It's a good thing I ordered extra tzaziki, because there was hardly any included in the wrap itself. There were too many fries, which meant less room for meat. Overall, it was alright, but very underwhelming compared to gyros I've had from a number of places when I lived in Montreal.
The lemon potatoes, however, were absolutely inedible, to the point where I chose not to eat them. They have an artificial, sour-like flavor rather than the fresh lemon taste you'd expect. To anyone reading this - if you're going to order from here, I suggest you stay away from those potatoes.
It's unfortunate because I really wanted to like this place, considering there are such limited options for Greek food in...
