Banh Mi Phuong Mai - Mai's Submarine & Deli — Restaurant in Calgary

This used to be my go to sub place but ever since they changed owner, the food isn't the same. Price went up but they gave significantly less meat. I had both sub and goat hot pot and quality has significantly decreased. My biggest pet peeve is when a restaurant skim on their meat or change the amount of ingredients, it changes the taste and no longer worth it. As a food lover, I have never care about the price but the moment the quality changes (less meat, less food, taste change etc.) I will no longer come back.

Update: I honestly do not agree with you on how there is more meat in sub. It certainly wasn't the case. I also understand cost of business as I am a business owner myself. Like I said it was not pricing that concerned me, it was the quality of the food. I would support a business even if pricing has significantly increased as long as quality is kept to the same level. My wife and I love this place. The most delicious Banh Mi (submarine) in Calgary. I liked that the they have many different types of subs. Our favorite one is Soc Trang (on a picture) named after the province in Vietnam. The owner is from that province that's why it tastes so authentic. She is super friendly and helpful in explaining ingredients of each sub. This place has delicious subs, big portion and quite affordable just 5.75$. Soc Trang was my favorite sub place and it has been for years, I think they got new management I'm not too sure, but I ordered the Beef Sate, and the bread was very stale, beef was dry, and there was next to no butter in the sub.

Update: I returned and gave Phuong Mai, another chance. They did not disappoint! They were very kind, and did everything to improve my experience.
