Sushi Roku — Restaurant in Calgary

Excellent addition to the neighborhood. Fast friendly service. Fresh and flavourful fish. Very nice presentation and portions for all food and drinks. Good value and interesting combos for everyone. The lemon slice in each glass of water is a nice touch.

Ambiance is modern and clean. Minimalistic decor with simplistic seating. A few cute pop art displays add some visual fun.

Can't say the seating is the most comfortable. It was ok for us, but some of my larger sized friends would likely feel cramped. As a potential thoughtful touch, the tables with bench seating could use a nearby coat rack or possibly an under bench basket/box (specifically during the winter) for coats, scarves, gloves, and other misc winter gear. Not 100% necessary but would be nice as table top space is limited.

This is a good restaurant for a meal with family or friends. Think quick eats & casual chats!

One more important detail: convenient parking can be found right out front. Additional street parking is also available not too far away if the lot is full.

There are no excuses to not to check these guys out, especially if you live in the neighborhood.

Came in tonight with friends who live in the area. We had a variety of appetizers (tacoyaki, agedashi tofu, chicken karaage), different specialty roles, donburi and tempura. All were great, and the Sapparo beer was cold! Service was really good as well. Nice family friendly feel and reminded us of the little neighborhood mom and pop restaurants near where we lived just outside Tokyo. Our only feedback would be to provide gluten free soy sauce as an option and perhaps lable the gluten free options on the menu. As a new restaurant, I'm sure they will only continue to improve. I had an amazing experience at this sushi restaurant! The sushi was incredibly fresh, with the perfect balance of rice and fish, and it just melted in my mouth. The salmon and tuna were especially delicious—you can really taste the high-quality ingredients.

The service was excellent as well. The staff was super friendly and helped us pick some of their best specialty rolls. The restaurant was clean and had a comfortable atmosphere, making the whole dining experience even better.
