My co worker had lunch brought in from Dosa Gardens for our floor and all I can say is Delicious!
I don’t know all the names of the dishes but I know good good!!!
The butter chicken sauce was rich, creamy and had a luscious mouth feel. I’m fussy on meat quality and the chicken was lean and tender.
The samosas had a tamarind dipping sauce that when paired was to die for. Tangy sweet with just the right hint of spicy.
The battered cauliflower dish, tossed with onions peppers and a sweet spicy sauce was a flavor bomb. The spice hits the back of your tongue just right. Not too hot but enough to give you some heat and not overpower your palate.
Every Paired beautifully with the coconut rice. Best coconut rice I have had yet, perfectly cooked, tiny fried bits of lentil and some other spices. I could eat that alone and be happy!
The spicy noodle dish was outstanding. This would be a regular in our order!
I took left overs home to my family, one of whom had not tried south Indian food. He devoured it.
And let’s not forget the fresh naan to scoop it all up with.
We were spoiled to have the rice pudding for dessert that had cashew nuts and ghee. Let’s just say I won’t be returning to Canadian rice pudding anytime soon. This was velvety and creamy with the little cashew jewels throughout.
We will definitely be adding this gem of a restaurant to our list!! And can’t wait for another...
Read moreWe were seasonal regular customers at this restaurant. When we went to this restaurant after 4 months with excitement to order our favourite dishes Podi idly with Ghee and Chicken Tikka Dosa. It took approximately 40 mins to serve the food to our table. I did not see many customers in the restaurant to call it a busy time. The Podi Idly taste was not like before and they forgot to add Ghee on top. of the Idlis. It was not like this before when we had that dish. The dosa had an okay taste. On top of it, there was only one server (poor guy) who was taking the orders, receiving customers, answering the calls, and taking the online orders. There was nobody who could assist him. There were no napkins on the table and no hand tissue in the bathroom. The spoons they serve are so dirty and I have observed some cleanliness issues here. I have seen a couple of families leave the restaurant due to latency in the order.
@Management, please make sure to add more resources on the weekends or else I don't think you will get 5 stars from your customers. Even though we were seasonal customers, you lost our trust. Never...
Read moreWe recently visited Dosa Garden NE and tried a variety of dishes, including Chicken 65, Chicken Chilli, Chicken Biryani, Rogan Josh, Ghee Roast Dosa, and the Masala Dosa Combo.
The chicken dishes stood out – flavorful, well-cooked, and satisfying. The dosas were also a highlight – crispy, well-prepared, and hit the spot. However, the Rogan Josh was underwhelming and didn’t quite meet expectations in terms of flavor or texture.
On the downside, the idlis were denser than they should be, and the sambar lacked the depth and freshness we were hoping for.
Service was attentive and friendly, which we appreciated throughout the meal.
One area that definitely needs improvement is cleanliness, particularly in the restroom. While the bowl itself was clean, the floors had visible black fungus, which was off-putting and detracts from the overall dining experience.
Would consider coming back for the dosas and chicken, but hope the hygiene issues...
