I suspected this may not be good when our party of 7 ordered a dinner for 6 started to arrive to their "cozy" dining room, served with cellophane packets of plum sauce you had to tear open with your teeth. My fingers were sticky for the entire service. I don't even understand how they think that is okay. The ginger beef was hard and crusty, the rice served al dente, and the spices not evenly distributed so I'd get one very salty bit, and another very gingery. The rest of the meal was okay. Far too much rice and not enough of the rest. Only 2 small containers left over at the end. Our for our party of seven the tab came to $200 without drinks, including a tip. They were slow to remove the empty plates and you could hear the staff yelling across to each other and laughing very loudly the entire time. I was at one end of the table and waitress bent right over my food to reach something in the middle of the table instead of walking around and approaching from behind. Her sweater nearly touched my meal. They served these large dishes with only one tablespoon in each dish so you had to use your personal fork to use in combination with the spoon which is unsanitary, or serve yourself one small tablespoon at a time. They didn't even have any toothpicks or candy at the till which you would think would be a no-brainer. The construction right outside the window was not conducive to a great dining experience but not their fault. Still plenty of parking in the strip mall or along 33 Avenue. I would not go...
Read moreLove the food here but sadly, our experience this evening has ruined this place for us. Knowing that it was going to be really busy as it is NYE, we placed an order for picked at 5pm for 7pm. My husband arrived at 7pm to pick up our order. After 35 minutes of waiting, he asked the staff when he could expect our pick up order to be ready and he was told "I don't know, the kitchen is backed up". No attempt was made to provide an ETA. After another 10 minutes of waiting, he told them to cancel the order as this was completely unacceptable. When my husband called me to let me know what was going on, he told me another customer has just placed her order on uber eats less than 20 minutes prior, walked in and picked up her order with minimal wait. I called the restaurant to confront them about this and the young guy that answered the phone was the same that took our order. NO apology made for their error, no offer to make this right just told me that if I wanted to speak with the owner to call back later at a time. I understand it is busy, but treating your paying customer like they don't matter without even so much as an apology speaks volumes about the...
Read moreI regret to say that my experience as a delivery driver for this restaurant has been quite disappointing. The staff and management consistently show a lack of respect and basic manners towards delivery drivers, who play a crucial role in getting their food to customers.
One of the biggest issues is the denial of access to washroom facilities. It’s incredibly frustrating and inhumane to be refused the use of washrooms during our shifts. This not only affects our comfort and health but also reflects poorly on the restaurant’s regard for the well-being of those who help keep their business running smoothly.
Additionally, the staff often behave rudely and without any courtesy. Simple gestures of respect and politeness go a long way, but unfortunately, they seem to be missing here.
I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and makes necessary changes to provide better treatment and basic amenities for their delivery drivers. Respecting and supporting the people who work hard to deliver their food is essential for maintaining a...
