Ate here today and tried the pork belly. I am doing keto right now and he said the pork belly with glass noodles would be keto friendly. I will see if I am still in ketosis tomorrow. I found the meat very tasty and well prepared. The crispy side was delightfully crunchy. If I had a crunchy giant bowl full... I would not be able to leave it alone. The glass noodles were on the greasy side but still tasty. The food I would give a strong 4 stars and with a salad I could likely make it a 5. I did find the proportion to be small for the price (>$18). This is a low 3 so on balance for my first meal I have ranked a 3. Fortunately my diet made me not care. I felt that a good salad with the small portions would of made it a well balanced meal. Good building to head into to try a wide variety of foods. I would love to review the entire menu but alas... not until my diet is done.

So far I have tried three pork belly dishes. The pb poutine, the pb and tiger cauliflower and the Pork Belly meal. The poutine was good, their tater tots are fantastic, and the pork belly is the star. The pb and tiger cauliflower on a bed of rice is fantastic, but save some rice and cauliflower for breakfast in the fridge (or get some extra specifically for that purpose) because as great as it is freshly served, it is a revelation in the morning. Now onto my favorite of the three, the pork belly meal. I cannot say enough how much I enjoyed this. The pork belly, the julienne fresh market stir fried vegetables on a bed of rice with pan gravy on the side. Wonderfully balanced, everything just hit perfectly. And I almost forgot, the coconut creme brule was a fitting end to beautiful experience.

Edit: Thank you for the reply. I've made changes to my review. This location is in the Avenida Food Hall and Fresh Market. The staff were friendly and quick, I had no issues. I've tried the pork belly & lettuce wrap with rice & garlic on the side, and beef rendang with pickled vegetables. The pork belly was well done, well seasoned, and goes really well with peanut satay and a spicy mayo sauce. It's a different take but still kept its key taste that still reminds you of Philippine food. The beef rendang was a bit of a let down for me as I prefer more sauce and the meat portions were poor which made the combo with rice dry, that's my personal preference. I would go back to give it another try.

I tried this place, cauliflower was pretty good, the crackling pork bell was average but definitely not close to the best I ever had. But the portion size compared to the price is ridiculous. It was like 23$ for about 2 to 3 Oz's of pork, a small portion of cauliflower and a tiny portion of rice. When he told me the price I was shocked but figured it would be a big portion but was tiny. I would never order from them again. It's the only place in the whole market I would never order from again. I lowered the rating because of the diva like response from the owner. I was off by a whole whopping 1$ and according to him the portion is 3.5 to 4 Oz's. I don't know about that but if you read reviews and what people are saying in Facebook food groups, my complaint is a common one. Yes mostly good reviews about the taste but I am by far not the only one to make this complaint. Especially in the Foody groups. And this is what reviews are for, this is how modern businesses are run. I don't go to every owner of every restaurant or business that seems off or I didn't enjoy. 95% of my restaurant reviews are...

EDIT: How have I not heard about this place sooner? I had the pork belly and cauliflower combo and that pork belly…that pork belly will live on in my dreams forever. I will have phantom memories of it in my future lives because it’s literally THE best pork belly I’ve ever eaten, and I have travelled the world and I’ve eaten it all. It’s cooked perfectly, the fat melts in your mouth and skin is crispy and airy, not rock hard like some other bellies I’ve had. The sauce they use on the cauliflower is a reason to go in and of itself. But can we also discuss the rice? I know you would think rice is rice but, cooking rice properly actually takes a great amount of skill and these guys NAIL it. Each grain is perfectly steamed, not overdone and with just the right amount of texture, and that’s actually difficult to do if you can believe that. Just go here. Please. Try it. Bring a tissue, because if you don’t weep tears of joy for a literally perfectly cooked piece of meat, then you’ll at least need one to dab the single glistening tear that will roll down your cheek after the first,...

Jeff and Joel, thank you so much for the amazing cooking lessons and dinner recently. Our stealth planning made it a big surprise my wife is still talking about and it was great to do everything right in our home.

Our guests also loved it and it was awesome how you guys got everyone involved, making for a perfect blend of time spent entertaining, learning and eating.

It was especially impressive how you got our kids involved to help out a lot (who also really enjoyed it all). I hope they’re able to have a similar laser focus with school work, as was the case when they helped to prepare the food! And they actually devoured everything too, even the spicy dishes, which speaks to how delicious we all found the menu to be.

And thanks to the provided recipes, we’ve even made a couple of the dishes since then (Tom Kha Goong and Babi Kecap). The latter makes for excellent leftovers too.

Keep doing everything you’re doing! You’re a blessing to our community.

Thanks again, Jason...
