3.5 average. Honestly - it hits the spot. It's a great bang for your buck and as westernized of Chinese food it is mixed with fast food style, it was actually pretty good. You get a generous amount and it is reflected well with the price. Nothing was overly greasy/oily to the point you can't taste anything. It had good flavours. Now, if it's authentic or not, it is just westernized fast food Chinese food with a hint of authenticity. If that's what you're looking for, this is a good spot to go to. I would order from here again. The fried rice + sweet and sour pork was good.

Ordered through Skip. Took about 30 min to downtown which I consider very reasonable. Portions were massive, every container was packed to the brim. Everything was packaged very well, so no soups or sauces leaked, and nothing tipped over during transport. Pieces of squid/beef were large and not over battered or over fried in the salt and pepper squid and ginger beef respectively. Great beef to broccoli ratio in the beef and broccoli. We ordered the typical americanized Chinese dishes, and got exactly that. Overly salty, overly sweet, not spicy enough. Tasty for what it is.

I heard so many great things about this place and really wanted to like it. But it was rather disappointing. The fried wontons were just literally wrappers, where you would expect an actual filling. Kind of felt like I was getting the bottom of the bag. The ginger beef was decent, kind of soggy, fried rice was bland, and the sweet and sour pork was probably the best thing I ordered in the 2 combo. Probably Won't be ordering from here again but If you want affordable Chinese this is the place to go

Got food poisoning from this place, never again. The order sizes are enough to feed a small army, but the quality is just not there. Ordered the $47.00 meal for two with Ginger Beef and Chicken and Black Bean sauce, and ended up getting quite sick. EVERYTHING tasted like it was cooked in rancid oil. The beef was tough, chewy and had no sauce in the container, and the chicken was slimy, under sauced and tasted “off.” Even the rice tasted rancid, like it had been cooked in old oil. Unfortunately I ended up quite ill from eating here, and almost lost a week of school during finals due to food poisoning. Only after 4 or 5 days did I begin to recover and have an appetite or ability to keep food down. One could argue that it wasn't the food, but I was fine until I ate the meal from Ginger Beef Express. Sad as this is a Calgary staple that I have ordered from for years, but I don’t foresee myself ordering from...

Ordered them through skip, got the meal deal for 3 plus we wanted to give the honey garlic ribs a try. Ribs were a disappointment, barely any sauce, crispy but had a weird taste to them. Spring rolls weren’t very crispy, rice was a tad bland but still good, ginger beef was really dry and not a lot of meat compared to other places, almost felt like they were sitting under a heat lamp for a long period of time. Shanghai beef noodles were good and not as salty as most places thankfully, sweet and sour pork was amazing, small wonton soup was really good as well and a decent size, but all in all not really worth the price I paid. Would definitely recommend the sweet and sour pork but...

I ordered skip the dishes an hour before they closed. At any restaurant this is a gamble. This restaurant made the gamble pay off with freshly cooked HOT ginger beef and sweet and sour chicken. I burned my tongue on the ginger beef it had been cooked so recently.

I had a stressful day of job interviews and I would have eaten anything and I wasn't expecting the moon via skip the dishes at an hour to closing time. I really appreciate that they went out of their way to send me a quality meal when most places have a bus tub full of stuff that has been sitting for moments like...
