Gong Cha Marlborough Bubbletea — Restaurant in Calgary

Alright, I go here once every two weeks. The service is always really good and prompt. However, the music can be a bit loud.

The new strawberry smoothie with almond jelly is really good. My normal order is strawberry green tea with peach stars. I really like the peach stars because of the texture, I find they are frimer than a jelly topping. I will also change once in a while to aloe. They are chucks instead of pulp like aloe juice. IF you like black pearls, they always come out right from the cooker, so they texture is chewy!! My partner likes them so much that if I put the drink in the fridge for later, it just isn't the same.

My partners drink of choice right now is honeydew melon matcha milk tea with coconut jelly.

Adjusting sugar and ice levels is easy and 99% of the time is followed. I get no ice and no sugar. Only had ice in my drink once out of all the times I've been there. They will let you know if they can't adjust a sugar level and most of the time it is because of an ingredient in the drink like honey. If you get a drink with no sugar, you are asking them not to add honey to the drink. I believe the least they will do is 30% in these cases.

Only downfall is they haven't stocked up in yogurt a whileile.

I came here earlier this week and my awful day was completely flipped upside down by this worker one Gong Cha Marlborough employee Joshua! He was so helpful. I had to asked him... it is my first time here what should I get? He said I should get the Brown Sugar Pearl Milk Tea and I said "Yes!! I will get one of that one drink please." Oh. My. Gosh. Why was that the most delicious drink I have had in my entire life!? The drink was made with such care and I know that they were thinking about how best to treat the customer with their fantastic service skills. I will be coming back again due to the fantastic service at the register and also the haste in making my drink.

Oh and also they have brown sugar drinks at this store which is surprising in this brown sugar shortage we have been in for a while. Awesome work Joshua and team! It is so awesome to see this sort of thing and I am so happy to have access to brown sugar drinks still through this shortage!! I will be back at Gong Cha Marlborough location for more Brown Sugar Pearl Milk Tea drink...

This gongcha location is alright. The quality of the drinks is pretty on with other gongcha locations. I tried something on a featured poster instead of my regular go-to, which was the matcha mango. Actually the mango flavour was overshadowed by the matcha which is fine because I do love matcha but sad because it didn't taste that special or unique. The person calling out the drinks was a little confusing- we saw our drink and went to get them but when we got to the counter he said "oh nevermind" and then pulled the drinks away from us so we assumed it wasn't ours and stood there waiting for another 5-7 mins before we went back up to ask if those drinks he now hid behind the counter were ours. Which they were. 🤦‍♀️. Probably not a regular occurrence but just...
