The food was alright at this place my review is based on their service we came in 20 minutes before they were closed unaware they were closing soon when we realized we told them we could go elsewhere or take our food to go but they assured us it was fine. We weren't planning on staying long but the waitress proceed to stand at our table untill we ordered. The food came out fast I'll give them that the soup was good but I ordered a vermicelli bowl which was ice cold including the meat and spring rolls. When I asked for it to be heated up they said no it's traditional served that way (which may be the case but I've never had cold before and I have been to a few Vietnamese places before) she then told me if I wanted it warm I should have told them from the beginning a note which was not in there menu none the less she wasn't going to heat it up for me now so when I asked for a to go box so could heat it up at home she rolled her eyes and went and grabbed me one ... It was quick we were in and out in by 10:10 but they had another family still eating as we left and they started to turn out the lights on them. Im sure this place is maybe better when you don't come 20 minutes before they close but given that we not aware they were about to close and once we were we offered to leave or take it to go but they assured us it was no problem to stay and that we would get service I was pretty disappointed with...

I don't know HOW this restaurant got 5 stars. First off...I should've turned right around when I saw how nasty dirty the front doors were. Almost couldn't see thru them BUT I thought, no, I'll give them a chance. Could've happened in a day.....? We sat there waiting for 5-7 minutes for someone to even look at us. People walked in after us and were greeted immediately. Finally, the cook from the bank came out to rudely ask us what we wanted. I asked if they had chicken pho. She said only beef broth but can add chicken. What pho place doesn't have chicken pho???? WTH.... So I said ok, I'll try the beef. We got salad rolls to start and they were dry with only noodles and chicken. Nothing else. My soup was HORRIBLE!! So a place that only offers beef, I though they would've had it mastered. It was greasy without any flavor not to mention, my noodles were hardened in the shape of a bowl.... So they were old or Sat out for a long time or was an order that was sent back.... Who knows!!! It was a very disappointing experience. If you're Caucasian, DO NOT step foot in this place. If you value cleanliness, this place will disgust you. If you appreciate good service, you definitely will NOT get it here.... Not to mention the food..... All around a waste of our time and money!!!! Rude racist women...

I live in the oposite end of the city but dont mind a good pho. Have been coming here almost every month the past year. I've always enjoyed the food and service was pretty good. Till a few days ago, I had a hair in my pork vermicelli i didn't freak out or anything, i just asked for a new one. While waiting for my food to come, my boyfriend found a hair in his food aswell. We talked to our server and ask to replace it too. The server approached us and said that it was my hair. (Side note, i recently dyed my hair ash blonde and the hair looked dark brown/black) While talking to us, she wouldnt even give us eye contact. My boyfriend just said were just gonna eat somewhere else and she claimed that their making us our food already so we decided to stay. After a few minutes, she approaches us and said we could leave and again not giving any eye contact.

The food here is pretty delicious but very dissapointed with the server...

Came here on a Tuesday afternoon at 12:20PM and there was plenty of seating available. I was highly recommended by 2 separate friends that this is THE spot in town for pho. I ordered #1 Pho Xuan Special and it was one of the best bowls of pho that I've had and very affordable ($12-$15.50). The broth tasted very clean and homey, being not too salty or full of MSG. I got the small size it was a great portion with plenty of noodles. We also ordered the spring rolls which were perfect in size and flavour. I also ordered the fresh durian milkshake which was delicious. Highly recommend for a great vowl of pho when in Calgary and would come back to try other items.

Being a Vietnamese, I can say with no hesitation that their bun bo hue is one of the best I have ever had in a restaurant! Beware if you can't eat spicy because you do have to put all of the satey portion they give you in your bowl (in order for your noodle soup to taste what the soup is actually supposed to taste). Generous portions of meats (they even put in the pork blood jelly! and their pork legs taste fresh and not the freezer), tasty broth, al dente noodles... The real dream if you love bun bo hue! So sad I don't live in Calgary so I could come more often. Highly recommend!

Came in for lunch and ordered the Bun Bo Hue. The broth was very flavourful and came with a side of shrimp paste which is meant to be added - very authentic! The other ingredients (beef shank, pork sausage, blood pudding, and pork hock) were also high quality and tasty. I intend to come back to try other dishes, but the Bun Bo Hue is the best I’ve had in Calgary. Staff are friendly. Overall a good experience. Update: tried the Pho Dac Biet and Beef Stew (new item). Both were tasty but the stew was more special, would recommend.
