Good Heart Cafe — Restaurant in Calgary

I found this little unknown GEM 💎 hidden behind Mayfair Place next to Chinook mall.

First of all, they are not strictly vegan. Despite this, the extremely kind and caring owner, Maritsa, answered my call and planned out a nice lunch meal for me based on my dietary restrictions within a few minutes. She made this amazing fully vegan meal, grilled sandwich with vegan cheese, avocado, coconut butter, and all sorts of yummy veggies; a side of "dolmades" (spiced rice, wrapped in a pickled grape leaf); and one of the best oatmilk lattes I've ever had.

It's clear to me that she is passionate about food, and I am super impressed at all the amazing vegan alternatives she keeps in stock for her creations.

Food was 10/10 and made with love. Not including my meals at Pachamama Soul Cafe, I haven't felt this satiated since The Dandelion by Nourish Bistro went offline.

This eatery shows compassion and caring to its customers. The atmosphere is wonderful, peaceful and relaxing. Food served has the utmost high-end flavor and the price is so reasonable. Aileen does a superlative job with food preparation. The Spanish Latte is really satisfying. The Deluxe Stuffed Tuna sandwich with a Greek style side salad was delicious and wonderful to even look at. I was even given a free cookie. Beautifully handicrafted jewelry is for sale at giveaway prices. The owner, Marica, is to be congratulated for her excellent supervision and exemplary eating establishment. I have returned several times and I will continue to do so. So Very Highly...

Marica has a wonderful cafe! My parents and myself are regulars here and from day one, we have had nothing but outstanding fresh, healthy, home made delicious food (sometimes even made per request... ie vegetarian, no peppers....), for lunches and/or suppers, with excellent service and ALWAYS served with an abundance of friendliness and genuine interest in how we are and how is the food! The coffee is always fresh and the best along with lots of other choices for drinks.
