I stopped by NYF at Chinook Centre today and was blown away by the service from Anthony. He went above and beyond to make my visit not just good, but genuinely memorable. From the moment I walked up, he greeted me with a warm smile and friendly energy that made me feel instantly welcome.

Anthony was patient, attentive, and clearly takes pride in what he does. He didn’t just rush me through, he made sure my order was perfect, checked in to make sure everything was right, and handled everything with the kind of professionalism you don’t see often in fast food. You can tell he genuinely cares about the customers and wants them to have a great experience.

It’s rare to find someone in customer service who makes you walk away thinking, “Wow, I need to leave a review for this person.” But that’s exactly the kind of impact Anthony had. I left NYF not just with great food, but in a better mood because of him.

Every time I go to Chinook, New York Fries is a guaranteed stop. The poutine here is next level — rich, cheesy, and loaded with thick, golden fries that are always cooked just right. Whether you go classic or try something like the Butter Chicken or Pulled Pork poutine, the portions are generous and the flavor is unreal.

Every summer I return to Calgary for a visit and with my children we visit New York Fries while shopping at Chinook Centre. Today, August 14, 2017, I was greeted with the same experience as was last year (although I had forgotten at this point)...the order taker/cashier was promoting me for my order while the customers in front of me were not even finished paying. I indicated to the cashier that I would wait until they were done. I find this quite rude and it would be quite invasive for me if I had someone behind me giving their order before I was done. This is NOT GOOD customer service. I was kind and clear with the cashier that I know that they need to move the customers through, but there was no one behind me. She was not impressed with me and she gave me the smile and nod, at that point, I know that she is being indifferent to each customer and I said, You can clear my order, I am going somewhere...
